We recently moved into a home that has condemned fireplaces. My wife and I were pretty disappointed but I decided to look around to find a fireplace replacement.
I found this Hampton Bay LED Infrared Log Set online. I initially thought this would look cheap and tacky in our fireplace. But, when I opened it up and plugged it in I couldn't believe how realistic the fireplace looked. The flames dance and the coals glow. It also gave off a decent amount of heat.
I decided to do a review of this LED fireplace in case other people were in a similar situation. Hope you like the video and make sure you subscribe for future videos!

We have the same problem with our fireplace. We are looking at options and this was the perfect video. Thank you for doing this video! I feel like we can turn our space into something now. Thanks again!
Not a bad replacement for your traditional fireplace. What do you guys think?
I bought one and I love it. Great and affordable alternative to having a gas fireplace installed.
I just purchased one from Home Depot. Picking it up tomorrow. Thank you for your video. It really helped me in making my decision to purchase.
does it come in a smaller size say 7inches my fireplace insert is curved
Are the flames orange or yellow? I have the duraflame version and the flames are red/orange and it drives me crazy. Are these yellow like flames should be? Thanks!
more orange
Could you put two back to back and have a see - through fireplace?
I suppose you could by there would be now flame projected
…..? … Appreciate your video Thank YoU 😊 been thinking of getting one ☝️ of these …. BUT the only problem I see is Even when you showed it On in the Dark - It REALLY WAS BARLEY NOTICEABLE????
The Flames 🔥 are NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH AT ALL…?? Even the Glow of the Logs 🪵 could barely see it… 😔…. I do want something like this BUT it’s gotta Be WAY BRIGHTER because if it’s Not that much Flames 🔥 and Not that Bright it will NOT GIVE me the impression that it’s warm and cozy feeling….. I’ll Keep looking around. But again Great 👍 Vid thank YoU
does this one have the crackling sound like the Pleasant HearthLH-24?
no crackling on this one
Doesn't look bright enough. Thanks for the review
Hey just found this video. What is the base you are using to elevate it?
Probably his old log holder
Actually looks like his gas insert from before
Could I put this in a faux fireplace? Or does this need to go in a traditional fireplace
If it can take the heat otherwise it doesn't need exhaust
How much?
The two dots of light in the front grate are ridiculous. I wonder why the wood stove versions of these look so much better than these inserts.
Agreed, no hiding this is just a space heater
How’s it holding up ??? What did this cost?
Video is pretty old but I still have it lol. It does have a couple broken pieces from moving. I believe it was either $99 or $149 back then
Where can I buy this?
Here is a link amzn.to/2r2Surw
How much does your electricity bill go up
????
So how has it held up?
Still running perfectly a couple years later
Sold 😂
Seems a bit loud, is it?
I have one. It is loud
@@drozdusa -- Mine has a slight noise, but it reminds me of the sound of my cat purring. So it's relaxing actually. It's a very quiet undertone. I LOVE my logset.
@@katherinequann7190 Where did you find yours? Is yours a Hampton Bay or Duraflame? It seems those two brands have an identical unit.I've been going crazy trying to find this item, for the holidays to fit into my fireplace!
I clicked link and its for Duraflame not Hampton Bay??
It’s actually the same product
Is it still working now in 2019? Also does the box say how many square feet it heats?
Yes! Around 500sq ft. Can heat up a small room nicely
Hmm not a bad idea.
This is ok, but Dimplex has superior “flames.” No comparison.
Thanks! I’ll check it out
Just burn candles that smell like fireplace
Kittie Muffins haha definitely an option
Those of us with asthma do better with infrared heat instead of fragrance or open flame
Great option I hate the smell of burning wood and having to clean all the mess that a real fireplace has
That music makes ears bleed!
😂
