So yes, old man Yamamoto is OP in his shikai and God tier in bankai, if he had released his Bankai, all things in creation would have turned into ashes. That's why Aizen had planned to prevent Yamamoto's sword, and this level of thinking capability makes Aizen a great villain.

Bleach is my number 1 as well. I used to put it at top 3 when I FIRST watched it as a kid but after rewatching it as an adult i caught and i understand SOOO Much more of the genius behind Kubos writing and the entire experience was overall improved. Bleach is by far my number 1 anime.

Especially with later content - Hollows are just ants the Soul Reapers leave around so that they have some fun... while the show for nearly 300 ep pretends that Hollows are the equal counter part to Soul Repears...

I understand this show feeling awesome when you just watched it... it is on retrospective only that you notice how very little plot it actually has (for the number of episodes) and most of the enjoyment of the show is shock value cause the action is really cool while lots of things make no sense, they are only a "because i said so" from kubo, and true... that is enough of a reason because it is made to look cool... which is also a valid and enjoyable strategy... but it can't go above other shows with more weight behind them... still it is quite up there...

Plot was never Bleach's strong suit tho. It's clear that character writing, narratives and themes are the major focus. And ofc, it's fucking cool.
