I like the 28 gauge and I don't even own one now I wish I had but I do have several 410's not hard to load if I go that away since I already have the shot powder etc.
That would be a good experiment. Take a few, glue the wad on using an old hull to keep it aligned while the glue dries, leave a few unglued, see how much of a difference it makes on groups.
Thanks for the review! It was worth it. I was running them through a skeet choke and was getting about a 3" group at 15 yards with open sights offhand. The main problem I was having with them is that my semi auto shotgun requires at least a 3/4 oz payload to cycle properly and these just didn't... I was hoping that 2/3 of an ounce was close enough to 3/4 oz for it to function, but it did not. After watching this and seeing that they are closer to half an ounce, it is just no wonder why they wouldn't function
I know this is off subject but, I bought an Ithaca shotgun, a semi-auto with a long barrel. I have pre-primed hulls (3.5) from Ballistic Products, TPS shot cups, and Mylar wraps. I also have nickel-plated #1 buckshot and Hodges LONGSHOT charge/powder. I want (Please) to get some reload data specifically for this or variations of this setup. Yes, there is more... What are your thoughts on using Nickle-plated buckshot (#1) without the shot cup and just Mylar wraps? I am concerned about the shot grouping but very concerned about damaging the barrel. I know this is probably too detailed for an episode for you guys to put out, but maybe in the comments, you could say something. Thank you.
I wonder if it is designed to drop the wad off in flight . don't know , testing is the only way. Get Josh away from the turkey table to go with you for testing. Enjoy your videos . real people doing real things with no B.S.
Where's a good place to buy stuff other than ballistic products their shipping absolutely sucks been waiting for over a week or so and they haven't even shipped it out
I love the 28 ga too. I'd love to see more. I'll be binge watching all your past efforts.
Thanks man

Huh, didn't know these existed. Great video bud! Happy holidays!
Same to you

I’ll do that

If they had more speed they’d probably cycle but I doubt they’re running anywhere near 1460

@@donemigholzjr.7344 You will never damage a barrel with lead. Especially not bucket or birdshot.
@@theshotgunscientists Thank you very much. You two are the best.
Nobel sport A0 powder.
Thanks
Seen that power before in monarch shell I think
Brenneke USA 28 gauge slugs are hit and miss. Every other round doesn’t fire even with solid hits on primers.
We’ll have to get those too
I bought a box 10 rnds of sterling 12guage. 00 buck. I did not like it and won't be buying more
Sounds about right

Tail wads are supposed to stay attached
