LeBron James is a billionaire or close to it. An extra 10 million or 20 million dollars per year for the last year or two of his career will literally not even register on his balance sheet. It is a rounding error.
LeBron should take the veteran minimum and allow whatever team signs him to afford depth. I'm a Spurs fan, the last couple years of Tim Duncan's career, I think he was paid 10 million, probably about half of what he could have gotten on the open market. LeBron has more money than Tim Duncan ever dreamed of. Sign for the minimum with whatever team drafts Bronny, let that team go get some other players and then ball out. I compare the last couple years of Tim Duncan's career to the last couple of Kobe's. Bryant was getting paid something like 50 million for his last 2 years and it hamstrung the Lakers.
