  • No matter where you choose to travel, the absolute best way to learn about a new destination is with a local by your side - and that’s why we’re bringing you another installment of our tour guide interviews! Today, we’re speaking to Ramadhani Hussein, an expert guide with Explorations by Collette. Join us as we chat about his role as a tour leader, his top insider tips for visiting Kenya, and much more. If you’ve always wondered what it’s like to travel through Kenya on a group tour, you’re going to love this video!
Seeing incredible animal species on safari in the Masai Mara Game Reserve is undoubtedly one of the biggest highlights of a trip to Kenya, but as Ramadhani points out in this video, there are so many other things to look forward to when visiting this captivating country. From astonishing views of sweeping savannah plains to immersive cultural experiences and epic natural wonders, every day on tour in Kenya is guaranteed to be an unforgettable and soul-stirring adventure that you’ll remember forever.
Ramadhani’s top tip for travelling to Kenya? Try the local food! Kenyan cuisine is incredibly delicious - and it’s just as diverse as the people and landscapes that make up this beautiful East African nation. Another thing you can’t miss is the country’s most famous beer brand: Tusker. A trip to Kenya isn’t complete until you’ve watched the sun dip below the horizon in the bush with a Tusker in hand!
Travelling with a seasoned guide like Ramadhani is only one of the many benefits of joining a group tour. Not only will you have someone to take care of all the logistics and nitty-gritty details of your trip, but you can also rest assured knowing you have the added security and peace of mind that comes with group travel. And, best of all, companies like Explorations by Collette help you do more than just scratch the surface of Kenya - they’ll take you off the well-worn tourist trail so you can get to the heart of what makes this destination tick.
If you want to visit Kenya with a local guide who knows the country inside and out (like Ramadhani!), head over to TourRadar to check out this itinerary and start planning your ultimate African adventure today!

My sister and I figured it would be a good idea to use Tourradar for are next vacation. This turned out to be a huge mistake. The way Tourradar is handling the cancelation or their tours due to COVID-19 is a disgrace. You can see for yourself by going to their Facebook page and reading their recent reviews.
