  • This is a common video, so thought I'd put my version out there. One of the few things you should definitely learn.
    How to change/replace motorcycle oil.
I didn't mention in the video, but I am using 10w40 semi synthetic oil. Lexmoto recommend using 15w40, but I have always used 10w40 and has never caused harm.

I like the way your using standard motor oil and not some expensive bike oil. 100% agree as long as your changing frequently.

I always have done. Although I don't change it that frequently. Like every 600 miles or so.

@@lingo645 Exactly what i do. Ive had loads of little 1970's HOndas with the same design and with little in the way of filtration coupled with water from short journeys. Theress only one way to clean the oil.

Hi Mark, so there isn't actually an oil filter on this bike. There is however a little thimble like oil strainer located on the lower left hand side of the engine, it is behind a small rubber hexagonal cover.
Would recommend only cleaning every 3-4 oil changes as its easily damaged, just wash off and dry in a little petrol.
As there's no real filter system I would also recommend changing oil every 1000 miles max.
      Hope this helps.
