God’s word became flesh
Not “Jesus became flesh..”
Nobody goes around preaching “God became a human”
You just don’t find that anywhere, specifically on Acts which is the first example of the apostles going into the world after Jesus’s resurrection and exaltation
@@mitchellc4 God’s word did become flesh Im glad you agree with me. Read John 1:1 again if u need friend. And the Old Testament does allude to the Holy Trinity. There is plurality “let US make man in OUR image”.
The problem with Chalcedon it is makes it sound like Jesus did miracles by his own attributes of deity. But Scripture does not bear this out. The book of John illustrates that Jesus did miracles by the Father dwelling in him in the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus did no miracles in his childhood, or early adult life. It was after the Holy Spirit came upon him that the miracles started. The 2nd person of the Trinity, the Logos, kept his identity when he became a man, so he was divine. Hope that helps.
Yet whatever the Father does, He does likewise for there is one will of God. Simplicity, inseparable operations and perichoresis help maintain this.
@@jordantheriverman6143 Jesus always did the Father's will, that's true. The question is when he did miracles, was it by his power or the Father's power in him by the Holy Spirit?
Mike I am trying to agree with you but just one question, do you agree though that Jesus is God?
Mike is there any resources where I can learn more of your perspective ?
@@HonestAbe122 Of course. The Logos (the Word) was with God and the Logos was God. Then the Logos was made flesh and walked among us. So Jesus had the spiritual identity of the Logos and so he is God. Plus, he had the DNA of is Father, God. Finally he was given the Holy Spirit without measure at his baptism. To see him was to see the Father. Hope that helps.
Pastor John could have saved himself a lot of trouble by learning the dogma of the Hypostatic Union infallibly taught by the Catholic Church.
And how would you explain the absurdity of three separate persons all being the same God?
@removingveils5824 only absurd to you. We sometimes are so certain of our logic and understanding in our current age that we can't fathom anything else. There is so much we don't know and we laugh at people 200 years ago, just as those 200 years from now will laugh at us. Your questions are valid, but I ask you leave an opening in your heart for the answer even if it goes against your reason or ego.
@@removingveils5824 Only a flat-earther would ask that.
@@bengoolie5197 No flat earth believer here. I asked a simple question. But like most people, to answer it properly shows up the stupidity of Trinitarian dogma.
And you are correct when you say tge word dogma. Because man-made dogma is what most have in lieu of biblical doctrine.
@@removingveils5824 Sounds like you are not a Trinitarian, so what do you believe?
isnt that a heresy?
Hypostatic union says that Jesus is fully God and fully Man
Not that a Jesus limited his powers(ie demigod)
It's not hard to figure out from the Bible.. that Jesus didn't come from heaven.. but he was a man
Then I would strongly suggest you get a real Bible and read it.
This makes no sense at all it makes no sense because Jesus is not God. People believe this God is one not two not three we have one God
We do have one God; not three. The Trinity never made sense even to the people who invented it. However, scripture states that Jesus is the incarnate word of God. He is OF God.
