On Monday, August 26th Gomukhi Channel visited ISKCON Temple on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmastami, the appearance day of Lord Krishna.
The long, disciplined serpentine queues clearly express the faith of people in Lord Krishna.
This occasion marks the biggest and grandest celebration at Toronto’s Hare Krishna Temple. Lord Krishna appeared over five thousand years ago in Mathura. His name means the all-attractive one. He is transcendental, all-knowing, and possesses all the qualities of all the avatars yet He remains as an ever-youthful cowherd boy. His beauty and sweetness know no bounds. Lord Krishna is the spiritual master and friend to all.
The program for the day was as follows:
Blisfull darshans of the Deities: Begin at 4 PM
Alokik Abhishek: 11:30 PM
Mangal Aarti: Midnight
The video provides opportunity to all viewers of the World to have darshan (audience) of the Deities amidst melodious kirtans. This includes a special darshan of Baby Krishna in a specially decorated swing.
The attended also received a package of light take-out prasadam near the exit at Govinda Restaurant.

Hare Krsna ! I have been here many times. Bhaktimarga Swami is such a scholar, and long time head of the Toronto ISKCON center.
It was a very long queue. And I was fortunate enough to be present in the temple around midnight. If you are in the video or attended Janmashtmi events, please describe your experience for the benefit of ALL.
