Backstory: I'm 27 years old, abstract thinking deficient (always been a weak at math), and every math class in public school had basically no foundation nor practical application that could be plugged in for me (but just in case I wanna go to college, I can waste my time in algebra and calculus I guess). This was probably the best applied mathematics I've seen, because it's applied to a tangible and visible phenomenon. It's really not that hard to show how basic (but still really useful) stuff works it, would seem.
