Temperament, noticed how beautifully the pencil is sharpened, so I went back 6 years to find the lesson. So true, a beautifully sharpened pencil is a result of being present and relaxed. Love that you can put into words more then just the mechanics of sharpening.
    Thanks. Tom

Bradwynn, Thank you for showing me so much over this past year. After a 40 year break from drawing, I am back to my favorite pastime. I would love to have my new efforts critiqued by someone who understands that i am drawing to leave a part of me behind for my kids and grandkids. My newest subject is my 9-month-old grandson, Enzo.

I have seen countless videos about drawing and its methods, but this one has opened my eyes a lot. I am not a professional and I see that I still have a lot to learn.
Taking the measurements with the pencil and showing it on camera was a great touch, I loved it. By the way, I'm new to your channel, and I hope to continue learning with your videos.
    Infinite thanks.

This was so helpful! You showed what to look for when measuring with pencil from the artists view, we saw what you saw. The cameras view made it possible for us to ”borrow your eyes” for a while, and that was a gift for sure! Thanks for a great tutorial! 🌟

Thank you for posting your process and talking through how you decide where you are placing your structure lines. Every time I watch your videos I pick up one more thing that I can add to my process. My portraits are already starting to look so much better and closer to the reference likeness because of your measurement tips.

You know that feeling when your up late and scrolling aimlessly through the dumpster-fire that is TH-cam’s home page and you feel like you’re on some makeshift raft just sailing nowhere in an endless sea of emptiness and you’re sad and listening to Depeche Mode and thinking “Alan wilder what ever happened to that guy?” And you then realize that’s worthy of googling but right before you exit TH-cam for its more suffocating parent company’s search engine - you notice that a band you recently got into has just released a new single and it’s just popped up in your TH-cam feed? And you’re like, “oh, rad! I’ll add this to my watch later and check it out tomorrow!” And you’re super revived and the world feels maybe slightly less scary than it had moments before? Thats the same feeling I get when you post new videos. Thanks so much!

I love how you show in this example turning the methods of the circles used for the head and then the egg shaped for going down to the chin into the actual drawing after you put all the planes on the face I can understand this and I think I can draw from this I will try that later right now I am just enjoying watching your wonderful talent.
This is a perfect example Of how to transform the rules for drawing a portrait from a photograph to making it look realistic like the photograph. Mine are always all off and funny looking. I keep trying to troll my children and grandchildren and they keep telling me to stop except for my granddaughter says my drawings are beautiful she’s 10. My passion is to be able to draw a beautiful portrait of each one of my children and my grandchildren to hang on my walls and to hopefully give them to hang on their walls. Your video is extremely inspiring for this and I thank you for that.❤😊🥰🙂🙃🙂😊😉

I will give my honest opinion here as I am a regular watcher of your videos and as someone who is extensively learning from you. I think it would be kind of a pain for you to use that second camera which is being used to show the comparison. While it is just a bit more informative, I don't think it added a whole lot of value as you would be constantly bugged by it. As a learner I want you to be at your best without these things bogging you down. Maybe try to find a way that doesn't involve you constantly adjusting that camera? Or if it's not bugging you then this is awesome. I loved it anyways, extremely helpful as always. Ever since I found your YT channel my portrait drawing skills have exploded. Thank you so much for that.
