Steve is an amazing drummer, but I never got the feeling of intensity from his drumming on any of the immolation albums he has been apart of. Alex was definitely the best drummer for immolation
Alex on the kit is great to hear and see! His drumming is on another level than many others! Love his style too. It's like he effortlessly plays these amazing parts and I know that what he plays is extremely technical and difficult and he plays it so cool and calm,not frantic but "controlled chaos"!!
Alex's drum style was bizarre. It always seemed like he was trying to play all the drums in the kit at once. Steve Shalaty is a better drummer from a pure technical perspective, but Alex had a more unique style.
