I love natural canvases, and decided to combine to of my favorite things in one, Fluid art and natural canvas texture, to serve as a negative space.
I chose a classical combination of warm black white and gold for this pour, so that the colors would go well with the beautiful natural color of the (unbleached) canvas.
I am pleased with the result, despite the rather thick layer, the paint did not crack, the canvas took on excess moisture.
I used Pebeo Studio Acrylics pouring medium and Amsterdam Acrylic Paints with a
ratio of 1:4 (paint : medium).
Amsterdam Acrylic Paints:
Titanium Buff Light
Lamp Black
Gold Extreme Sheen by Rayher.

Perfect timing, I did a picture years ago showed it to my son in law and he wants to buy it for their bedroom, but I wanted to do a couple others to complement it and this will be perfect with a touch of red I think, if it works out I will let you know and send photos. This is very different from what I’ve seen in paint pouring. I’ve seen the linen canvases at the store but didn’t know what their purpose was. This is unique. I like it. They are beautiful 🤩!!!!

I was drawn to the video because I use and love the neutral metallics, but I'm a bit confused why you didn't tilt either canvas. Great colors though.

Subscribed because this inspired me,I think the linen texture would be great to incorporate into fluid art landscapes. Do you think the material helped to avoid cracking although you left the paint pretty think in the center?
Thank you very much for your support and kind words! 💐😊 yes you are right, the landscape pour will look great on linen texture canvas! 🤩🎨 I’m not so sure if the canvas was the main reason for not cracking, but I think it did play a role. Because when I do pours on a normal white canvas, the other side of the pour when it dries staid dry, but here, the other side of canvas was wet for a pretty long time, so I think it did absorb moisture from paint. 💐🖼🎨

Is that a 10”x 10” canvas and how much paint(mixture) did you use for the flip pour?
Thank you for your question! 🎨💐 the canvas I used is 8”x8”, the cups I used are 100ml 3.5 oz, and I filled about 1/3 of them with paint. Happy pouring!💖

Thank you! 🎨😊💐 I buy natural canvas in the art shop online. Most online shops do sell natural canvases, although it’s not as popular as white canvases. 🖼🎨
If I have normal Acrylic paint to make it runny do I just add water ??? to do the same type of art like you do ,is that ok or do I need to buy different type of acrylic paint, to pour and blow in different ways on the canvas !! thank you
Thank you for your question! 😊🎨 No, you don’t need to buy different acrylic paint, but you do need to mix it a specific way to make it runny, and to be able to pour it. 🎨 To prepare the paint in the tube for pour there are two ways to do it. First is easiest, but also more expensive. You take distilled water, or the clean and room temperature boiled water, and you mix it with paint with ratio 1:1, roughly, then you steer it well and pour it. Second, is cheaper, and more used, you need to go to the art store, and buy an acrylic pouring medium, there you will see instructions how to mix it, but the ratio of pouring medium to paint which I use is, 1:4 (paint:medium), it’s cheaper as you use less paint. And then if I want consistency to be thinner, I use a little bit of distilled or boiled water. 💐 Many people also mix acrylic paint with glue, but I don’t use this method, so I can’t tell you anything on how to mix it. 😊
And finally, I have two videos that could be interesting for you to watch.
1- if you search How I mix my paint, you will see exactly how I mix my paint with medium before the pour.
2- water paint pour and medium paint pour do give different end results, and I have a video where I compare side by side these pouring methods, just search for - Medium or Water? Video on my channel.
