Is it just me, or wasn’t the last unit a one bedroom? It was referred to as a two bedroom unit in the video.
Every time I consider living in DC I am reminded that I am a suburbanite. Give me my front and backyards please and thank you. Especially if I am spending $650k. All of the units looked good though. They will sell and at prime $$.
Those yards sure do come in handy!
DC has numerous suburban areas that have a back /front yard, but you’re not going to find a home for $650,000 in those areas.
true
Thanks for the look and the inside info. I have walked or driven by those buildings on many occasions and wondered about what they were like inside and their costs.
You rolling the dice in Soldiers World (SW)... Streets hit or miss with the crime, but that's almost everywhere in the city
Wharf area is interesting, but I hate HOA's! (not a big fan of condos either)
Very interested in the Marina at the last on. Is that accessible or private to the development? Camera work was much slower and watchable on this video.
What water is that on? The Potomac, or one of the branches?
Last unit has a view, but only one bathroom? That won't work at all. Nice area as a whole.
The water is the Washington Channel of the Potomac River and It is private to the development. You seem to know a thing or two about DC. Did you live here at some point?
Like the video, keep up the good content. One suggestion, you pan way too fast on your camera shots and it’s dizzying. Slow down and have smooth transitions. Good luck with your channel.
Thanks for watching, thanks for the feedback!
I have to say that I’m glad we bought our house in DC way before they started instituting HOA fees on the newer homes. HOA’s have too much say over what you do with your property. Not a fan of having to ask permission to change my property. I’ve heard some real horror stories about HOA’s. Over the years, I’ve seen where they have changed the single family homes in my neighborhood to multiple condo homes, to adding another level to the homes.
No washer and dryer at 2nd condo
I remember visiting someone in the first building in the early 2000s. It looked very different back then.
yup! that area has come a long way from the early 2000's
Greetings from SW!❤
🫡
DC is a fun place
it sure is
I was just at Milk and Honey not too long ago, nice area.
You were Eating good 😋
I lived in SW right before covid hit, never really got to enjoy since I bought in NE after my lease expired in October 2020. I spent plenty of time around the areas and it's very nostalgic. But I realized that since I could work remotely, DC just didn't make sense. Writing this from Houston, TX
@@isiahnelsoniv smart move
You showed those old condos from the 70"s for $350K. I thought you were going to show the NEW BUILDINGS.
Condo fees are very high in those older buildings
The last one on the Wharf is like the Wharf itself... Didn't exist ten years ago.
I do have to say that you are panning the camera a little fast and it’s making me dizzy. Slow down a little so we can really take in what you’re showing us.
when the leaves fall in Spring and Summer. lol
yikes
That’s the comment I was looking for….😂
@@yahagurl lol . I must have been hungry 🤷🏽♂️
Great content- love the amenities you have shown but - its so frustrating that you pan around the camera too fast and we cant see almost anything ... Its evident you have great knowledge of the properties you have shown but your transitioning and speed really don't do justice to what you are articulating. - otherwise ; keep it up...
Everyone is talking about crime and it scared me to but since living here I have only seen one murder with individuals that knew each other. Living Montgomery County Maryland I saw 4 murders and two women beat to death by their Exs🤷🏿♀️😩, racial crime, hate crime so I actually feel safer in DC
@@taz9234 Does crime happen in DC? Absolutely. But I’ve come to notice that many people discussing DC crime may be basing their views on what they’ve heard rather than personal experience.
@ Exactly and I have personal experience. Sadly I saw more crime living in Montgomery County Maryland. 🥺
That neighborhood is very high in crime. It’s in walking distance from Nats stadium but whole are is crime ridden.
The entire DC is crime ridden. I lived in Dupont Circle in a home that cost well over $1.5 million and my car was vandalized 7 times. Name a major city that has low crime?
YES AND that's really not true. SW is not crime ridden. I swear yall will say anything for cap
hard to find in 2024
I would take the 2nd unit. Not much of a water view but saving+200k and having extra BR is my preference. Besides, if I need a water view, I can fill the tub and look at it.
😆
My mother lives in the waterfront neighborhood and I must say the crime has def increased the last few years. I was at the CVS there and it got robbed by 4-5 guys. Security couldn’t do anything. No thanks!
I would love to get a waterfront penthouse with 3 to 4 sleeping rooms and a 2-cars garage, plus a business downstairs or within the same street for a large space restaurant and bar lounge. Please note:
Viewers may find it frustrating to watch your content because of your amateur recording style. While you have a strong point when it comes to comparison in prices and locations, it could be a significant and important investment for your business in getting a professional cameraman while you remain a presenter. This would potentially attract more views and potential clients for your business. Please take it as positive advice. Thank you.
Apartment 4 only has one bedroom where is the second bedroom? 18:19
no closet or window... no way that counts as a bed room
Condo association fees are astronomical. Nice video though
$2400 for 1 bedroom that is my mortgage on a 5 bedroom 3 level house in Maryland
What? That would be the mortgage if you got a modification to lower your mortgage in Florida.
Building number 2 we didn't really see the building. It was hidden behind the tree you kept showing the lake.
This was a click bait on the picture. It shows these nice looking condos, caption DC. Living, but you show one of these old condos.
Nice video but I would never move back to DC.
Southwest expensive but nice and great restaurants let not forget about parking in DC is crazy, tickets, tickets.
Go there for lunch they have the Hell's Kitchen as well but the crime is outrageous okay.
You can't even sit outside the restaurant without criminals pulling up on you.
Taking your food your bag your cell phone and your purse robbery is so high in DC.
Didn't happen to me but people and co-workers.
I would never move back to DC like I said born and raised in DC but crimes is to extreme. 😮
where did you move to?
"this view justifies that price point"
You sure?
Wait a minute you said we could live in the middle of it all for 350,000. I knew that was a crock of shit.
🤔
A HOME IS ONLY WORTH WHAT SOMEONE IS WILLING TO PAY.
true
Anyone who moves in this area will be official "pioneers" of SW DC. Also, you indicated that the condo was obscured by the leaves but "when summer and spring comes and the leaves drops...". don't you mean when fall & winter come and the leaves drop? Also, I agree with other poster, you pan a bit too fast and too much.
Don’t forget the condo fees are outrageous. Just saying as Washingtonian.
Not the best area to live in. Tha hood is less than a block from Potomac Place Tower. In fact, it's directly across the street. All kinds of crime and car break ins and you forget about any additional street parking. It is extremely limited. If you do manage to find a space, your bumpers WILL get damaged. My father was a dentist across the street from PPT so I know what I'm talking about. He has a 950,000 townhouse. No way I would EVER live in this area!
Thanks for telling the truth. He conveniently left that part out of his pitch.
That's the life of big city living.Or you can move to georgetown and deal with the flooding in the rats pick your poison.
@@roxannethomas3047 Respectfully, I will decline "poison," all poison and all the time.
You’re partially correct.
But Most of DC is set up that way… on a block by block basis.
I Never insinuated that it was “the best area” to live in. Im highlighting the neighborhoods real estate and amenities. Crime doesn’t negate the fact that it’s still a highly desired area. At this point in 2024 crime issues in major cities, especially on the east coast, is not a secret. Im pretty sure People who are moving to big cities will do their research (crime data is not hard to find these days) and make an informed decision in the best interest of themselves and their family.
The problem with Southwest DC is it is right next to SOUTHEAST DC. The only people falling for that are not familiar with the DC metro area.
whats wrong with southeast?
No. 3 is definitely not worth the money they’re asking. So you can see the water view from the window but that “balcony” is a joke. I know you can go up to the rooftop but that wouldn’t be MY private space. No. 2 had a better balcony w/o the water view. If I were in the market for a condo, I’d go for no. 2.
No, thank you. I'd rather invest my $$$ somewhere else.
Overpriced and the pcp ghetto is next door . Definitely overpriced idk wtf he talking about.
Me either
