- Our History Nebraska archeologists get this question all the time. It's a big world out there, so there's a lot of work that goes into finding a site before excavation begins.
History Nebraska archeologists and UNL Archeology students worked together in 2018 to excavate a site in the Sandhills that we hope will lead to a greater understanding of distant Nebraska history.
History Nebraska is Nebraska's only statewide historical organization. We preserve the past to build a better future.

excellent video! thanks!
Quien vino de history?
Looks like a place east of Thedford a few miles on the south side of the highway. The eroding bank would be on the south side of the river.
Thanks for the video! 😄👍🐾
Answer is, the relic hunters tell them.... then the archeologists shit on them and call them “looters”
Criminals more like it. They are looters, cultural thieves and it's against UN Declaration on Rights of Indigenous Peoples, which the USA signed.
Archaeologists always know where to dig: in the dirt. That's where all the old stuff is.
Next.
They use Ouija boards. 😋
Oh I didn’t know archaeology was the only industry in the world the Americans impressing us again
