I moved to Vietnam a few months ago. It's genuinely incredible in terms of the raw number of humans moving on the streets. No amount of funding into public transport would ever achieve this level of movement in any other way. Pollution is bad though, lots of unregulated factories near urban areas, lots of people burn ALL their waste on the street evry day, especially in Ha Noi but the main easy to fix one. Government should just do an exhaust amnesty, fit all older bikes with new factory honda exhaust with catalytic convertor inside, would make a huge huge difference to hydro carbon pollution in a short space of time for a smaller cost than any other.
My wife is viet, I spent 6 weeks in south east Asia last year and a few weeks in 2022 as well. I rode bikes a lot in Vietnam as well, but not in the city; the video doesn’t look like Saigon, as it can look 100X more crowded with bikes than this!! Each time we visit I WISH I had my 72v 11:53 Surron with me!!!! Vietnam is the BEST country to visit hands down! Will likely be back in 2024, if you are going again, hit me up for a ride!!

As an American, I even get jealous of places like the UK where you can get a car that's under a ton and has a 1.0L engine. The fact that our smallest cars are 3000+ pounds and have 2L+ engines is just insane.
I read your comment and thought "bs" they must have in 2023 1 litre cars......nope 1.3 was the smallest I could find, but here in the UK I can find thousands most 100+bhp with most car manufacturers' offering something from vans, cars, SUV's and more

I love riding in Vietnam I spent a year in quy nhon in the south I paid around 90 dollars for a month and rented a Peugeot speed fighter was 125cc but you don’t need speed much on Vietnamese road, beautiful country and people ❤
Vietnam 🇻🇳 is really awesome for motorcycle driver. But I suddenly realized that China 🇨🇳 , although both countries have similar flag and politics, the big cities in CHINA, like Beijing, Shanghai, people can buy a motorcycle but the people can not drive it on the roads of downtown. Because, for example, in Beijing only the motorcycles that have the 京(jīng)A plate can enter the downtown. So if someone who lives in China and wants to drive a motorbike freely, it will be probably that he has to move to a small city or a small town.
This sort of bike culture is what the rest of the world needs. It is amazing!
