    1. Cut what needs to be cut.
    2. Find the right products.
    3. Get a good technique, one that works.
    4. Be careful of using too much heat.
    5. Hair care is a journey. Invest in yourself.
    5. Be consistent with trimming, using products and implenting what you learn

    I relaxed 2 days ago. Then I used henna plus conditioner to put back protein in my hair. I used a mixture of conditioners containing keratin and let it stay in overnight covered in plastic. Washed out the products and used ORS neutralising moisturising shampoo. Followed with Tresmme moisturising conditioner. Perfect it felt wonderful.
    All the these techniques I study from watching TH-cam it assist me. I feel honoured now I've found the correct way to use these products.
    Your hair can be damaged during this learning phase. But you can still save the day by finding out where you went wrong.
    Anything that leaves your hair dry is full of protein so you just have to spread moisture on it to soften it.
    The best moisturiser to me is Tresmme moisturiser.
    My balance between protein and moisturiser is it's safer to avoid over moisturising and overwhelming with protein.
    Next month I will deep condition my hair with henna again.
    I can't afford to do this more than once a month otherwise my hair will be upset 😂🤔uum

    Great tips! I agree that you find what works for you. Just because I don’t leave a conditioner on my hair for hours, doesn’t mean that I’m doing something wrong. People tend to put hair in a “one size fits all”

    If our leave-in has thermal protective ingredients, do we really need a serum?

    • @DolceDawn
      @DolceDawn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, SWEET NOVEMBER04! Most leave-ins offer some type of thermal protection, but I, personally, would never flat iron, silk press or curl my hair dry (i.e., without a direct barrier between my hair and the heat tool). Using a serum or heat spray when heat styling not only adds an extra layer of protection against the heat, but also adds shine, hold and a layer of moisture (a lot of which can be lost while drying). Leave-ins are the “prep” for your hair against heat; serums/heat sprays are the “shield” as they lay on top and arm your hair against the direct heat of styling tools.
