Leng, as someone who went blind for 2 months I can relate to the sister here. When you used to see and now you can't, only darkness it's like the most hopeless feeling in the world. No one can understand the loneliness. After many surgeries, my left eye can see but my right is too damaged. But I am very blessed I can still see the world thru one eye at least. I feel for this sister and wish I could be a strenght for her too even tho I know she is much stronger than me.
As a younger hmong american, i love your stories, my friends don’t really know how to speak hmong anymore other than me, slowing myself, i am also losing my hmong heritage and language, i try not to, and these stories are so amusing for me to listen and understand. Thank you Leng!
