Please keep the comments on this video POSITIVE!! Yes, Charli has dance experience and worked with Derek and Julianne for one performance. But, she is not the first contestant to have experience like this! Fun fact, Lindsey Sterling (who was paired with Mark for s25) did a dance with Derek for one of her music videos before she did DWTS. Jojo Siwa (s30 runner-up) had been dancing professionally in contemporary and jazz since she was 3 years old. Just to name a few! So please do not comment hate towards Charli. She deserves to be on the show as much as anyone else.

@@annakacurrie4675 That's correct. But Len, Carrie Ann, Bruno, and Julianne (as a guest judge) were judging that season.
I am so happy you posted this comment. Charlie did an incredible job. I was a professional dancer for 12 years and even though someone has dance training people do not understand how different ballroom dancing is even to a trained ballerina, etc. Charlie was great and I loved this dance performance so much. What a dream come true to dance to this song with Derek as your partner. I would die!!!!
Actually, if people complained about Charli having dance experience, just tell them that it's long overdue justice. Lindsey Stirling was a self-taught amateur who learned how to spin with her violin. Her opponent, Jordan Fisher, however, was a trained dancer and world-class gymnast who included a variety of DWTS dance styles on his professional resume. So I personally think that it's kind of nice that Mark was given a trained dancer to make up for finishing second his last time around.
Charli profession isn't dancing, Julianne's is, "Duh!"
The portion of derek and julianne on the floor of with the flip and multiple twirls is absolutely insanely well done. These two are magnificent when they move. They flow like water.

Yeah i feel this too, like she doesnt really feel the dance she's just dancing? Dont get me wrong too, i believe she's a good dancer, but it takes more than just memorizing dance moves and executing it to be great. I see Jules and it's different, maybe it's just me😅

@@tiktokshottie64 I agree but I think it is also that Jules has like 30 years of experience like she won one of the American dance shows at 15 she is also a lot more confident, I think you will find that charli was really nervous and that showed where as Jules is like I have done this hundreds of times I am gonna kill it yk
Well yeah but Jules is also older, have way more experience than Charli has and she was probably really nervous aswell
When I read this comment, my first thought was really: 'Well, duh, no kidding.' If Julianne didn't look better it would be ridiculous. Why would someone even stop to compare the two? It's like comparing Mozart to a kid who was maybe in music school.
Okay Julianne and Derek are adorable brother and sister.. and they dance AMAZING together.

Derek and Jules are the best dancing duo I’ve ever seen and Charli dancing with them, she certainly kept up with their pace. Absolutely gorgeous dance for these 3. Charli is so beautiful and with gorgeous bod too. Total package.
Charli is phenomenal and memorizing. The joy she exudes, transcends any pro with years of experiences. Pros are not artistic. They're robotic unless it's a memorial dance.
Holy moly this brought back Patrick Swayze, Derrick is a amazing dancer. If he could I’d watch him dance all day. Sister & brother are like watching one person. I also can see Charli easily becoming a pro.

I don't think that I've ever seen this Iconic dance professionally redone and would have never entertained the thought that any dancer could put on a performance even remotely close to Patrick Swayze 's but, this was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! 😱 ❤️ Beautifully done, just Beautiful.🦋🦋🦋 Derek and his sister make a mesmerizing team. W😲W!!!!! Charlie did Very Very well also! All of the dancers put on an Incredible show! So well that they Definitely took me back to that classic movie, very vividly recalling the first time (of many) that I watched it with my bestie! Mr. Swayze would be 70 years young today. He is still very much missed and continues to inspire many dancers. I imagine he would be so proud and feel so honored to have seen this. 🥀

Everytime, I watch this video, I see, "Baby", I see, "Johnny Castle" and other characters from the movie, "Dirty Dancing"!!!. I AM TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY BY, HOW GOOD THIS VIDEO IS and HOW WELL CHOREOGRAPHED, THIS DANCE SCENE IS!!!!. "Dirty Dancing" is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIE, EVER and I am NOT ASHAMED TO ADMIT, that, as a 55 year old male, who saw this movie in 1987, that it is!!!. I am SURE, that, wherever Patrick Swayze' soul is, IT IS SMILING DOWN AND SAYING, "JOB WELL DONE"!!!. Along with others, like, myself, Patrick Swayze is MISSED!!!. There will NEVER BE another Patrick Swayze, nor, will there EVER BE ANYONE WHO COULD PLAY, "Johnny Castle", the way that he did. To anyone who HATES THIS VIDEO and wants to make negative comments about it, all I can say is this..............GET A LIFE!!!!!

Yes she is and I have every confidence she will hold her own and be judged fairly. The reality is that the hate this girl is subjected to is horrific. She is 16 years old. Still a child. And she can DANCE. REALLY DANCE.

I don't about his acting ability but in terms of dancing Hough would make a good Johnny in a modern version of dirty dancing.
He would be the only one that would do the role justice dance wise.

It’s dancing with the stars and not dancing with famous people who has not dancing experience. It does make sense, she is a famous young woman and dances beautifully.

This is exactly why people stopped watching years ago .. unfair judging / criticism; and favoritism.
Fun fact, Lindsey Sterling (Mark's partner from season 25) also worked with Derek prior to being a contestant on DWTS. She did some tango / paso dancing with Derek. So, this isn't the first time it has happened on the show. And multiple other contestants have been friends with pros prior to coming on the show. Or, like Brian Austin Green, were dating a pro.

I was initially super happy for Charli and Mark, but seeing this made me realize that she had ballroom dance experience before the show. Which is unfair. It's not just any random who gets to dance with Emmy winner/retired 6 time champ Derek. This girl looked like a pro, because she's a ballroom dancer.
This is not the first time they've had contestants with previous ballroom dance experience. Nev (s29) had competed in ballroom competitions as a teen. Lindsey (s25) danced with Derek for a music video over a year before competing on the show (she was also partnered with Mark).
@@WitsayFan so, it's been unfair in recent seasons, because before I know they casted hip hop dancers. I mean, it's different break dancing or belly dancing, but litteral ballroom? Dwts is about teaching new styles and techniques to novices. Now i know why she was doing these never before done moves on the show. She is used to lifts and stunts, as seen in this dance.
@@WitsayFan also, if she got selected out of many dancers to dance with the Houghs, it's because she's a great ballroom dancer. I like Mark, because of his choreo and effort i am glad he won. But, it should've been with someone like Gabby.
The name of the shows should be changed from Dancing with the Stars to Dancing with the People We Could Find Who Want to be on the Show.
Some of the contestants hardly qualify as 🌟 stars 🌟 🤩 .

out of everyone why did they pick charli to do this dance she was a minor at this time what does she know about dirty dancing. Yup dwts totally fixed this season to where charli would win regardless if she would've walked while her partner mark ballas danced and drag her along the way and she would still win.Did the other competors get trained by both their partners and a judge
So Charli has been trained by Derek and Julianne prior to being on DWTS. Then is judged and scored by the very person who trained her. Yup, seems totally fair

Who cares it’s reality tv just go vote for your favorites instead of bitching about such a talented dancer blessing us with some of the most memorable DWTS performances of all time at the mere age of 18. Like the judges scores only make up HALF of the final score so instead of being miserable haters just VOTE.

This right here is exactly why Charli should never have been on season 31 on DWTS. She was favored before the season even started. They purposely paired her with Derek's best friend Mark. And she won. Most fixed season ever. Such bs.

I strongly disagree. If anything, this clearly shows proof as to why she should be on DWTS! This is a 16 year old girl getting dragged for sound something she loves to do and is extremely gifted at.

This here is why its total bs that Charli is even on DWTS. She has had dance experience in the past and she has gotten choreographed dance training from a DWTS pro and judge. Her being on there is very unfair. And if she wims I will be done cause I an sick of them picking faves as soon as a season starts
