I am so sorry this happened to you. I am a male and very sensitive. My father was kind of a brute controlling man and very condescending/ He would constantly devalue me and make me feel worthless. When I came to this country I was only 16 years old. I went to college and studied computer science and physics. He would always put other people on a pedestal and would make us feel small. Always saying how Americans are so much better than us. And then I had the misfortune of being around very judgmental Christian fanatics constantly saying how I was born a sinner and I have no real worth unless I accept Jesus in my heart. They made me sick and I started to really doubt my own abilities. I felt like a piece of crap. They literally ruined my life. So stopped taking care of myself. Intuitively I already knew that it was all set up for control. So I am trying to heal now. And it's a lot of work.
