Lesson 2, Laying the Foundation of Intercession

  • Are all called to intercession? When I talk to people, they seem to think that intercession is a special calling for a special few. With excuses like, "I really don't know how to pray." They expect others to carry them through the storms of this life. Yet each will bemoan the state of their families, churches, cities, states, and nation. In reality, we are all called to intercede because Christ in in us. He ever liveth to make intercession on our behalf. The Father isn't looking for us to pray perfect prayers just heartfelt prayers for the needs of others. Outline: tinyurl.com/ydfnk2m2

    Thank you so much for these teachings. About a month ago I felt the need , and asked the Lord to train me to enter into intercession. Well he directed me to Psalm 84 emphasizing that to go up to Jerusalem into his presence would be a pilgrimage. Then on this path suddenly your teachings came up and I know that it was of him. Thank you for your genuine and balanced approach to this teaching. God bless you.

    Thank you. The Spirit of the Lord is telling me to thank you, that you deserve thanks---as when Jesus was only thanked by one that was healed! And He is telling me that there is a gift in returning to thank someone. I would have thanked you anyway because I am so grateful for your skillful instruction in my life.....but this is what He said.

      Teach the people you minister to pray. Use the series on intercession. I hold everyone who watch my video and use my book, Silencing the Accuser in prayer. Register at. www.silencingtheaccuser and purchase the book. List of videos under replays. Also watch our slavery series. You have to get cleared of all charges from the enemy to be truly effective in ministry. Otherwise the enemy will destroy you or your family.

    I wish I would of seen this live, I would of asked MANY questions. God has recently, like very recently, he put a desire in my heart to be an intercessor. I know it's from God because it wasn't even my own thought. It just popped in my head and now I'm researching to find out, exactly what is an intercessor. I started intercessory prayers last night and that same night, I was woken up twice, having nightmares and gasping for air and finally the third time, woke up almost crying from the nightmare. It was wild because I don't have nightmares, at least I haven't in years! My question is, is this normal? Is this an attack from the enemy? Does this mean God is hearing my prayers and the enemy is not happy? I hope so...I will continue to learn about being an intercessor and will continue to pray.

    I love God, want to do all of His commandments, is His Sabbath Friday to Saturday, sundown?, Or Sunday. I've been doing Friday to Saturday, alone

    • @gfbiministries
      @gfbiministries  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it is important to just give the Lord the Sabbath. Which day doesn't matter. That would be legalism. He just wants our heart of love.

    • @Plethorality
      @Plethorality 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gfbiministries I read your reply to that question, and while I agree that God wants our hearts, I can't help wondering how is it legalism to obey the many, many, many scriptures about the Sabbath, including one of the top ten commandments, because of some emperor three hundred years later?
      Maybe its worth a proper rethink, rather than what we are used to thinking that we think?
      Like, why do we quote the first part of Isaiah 58, but call the second part legalism?
      Is it legalism to not murder? Or honour our parents?
      Jesus made the ten commandments even more intense!... To honour them in our hearts... Not only outwardly, and not to lust, not just not commit adultery...
      Jesus said that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath... But He did not break the Sabbath according to God's laws, only the added extras of the pharisees... Which He did at every opportunity.. : ). They were the legalists. Not those who follow the law..
      I'm not saying that its how we are saved.
      But surely its how we are to live?
      If the Sabbath starts Friday night, going to Saturday night, where's the harm?
      Of course there must be exceptions, like emergency services, but still, where is the harm in keeping the Sabbath?
      I have not come from that background, but I'm learning to think... And I think it's unfair to call simple obedience to the ten commandments, legalism.
      Maybe we've been too legalistic about calling something legalistic???

      @@Plethorality Remember that the Gentiles were only given the four restraints from Act 15:20 But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. Now we choose because we love Him to follow the higher law of love. Setting time aside to be with the Lord is not a requirement of the law but of love.

      @@gfbiministries thank you so much for getting back to me, and for your gentle reply. I really appreciate that.
      As far as I know, I don't have Jewish blood. Yet my tastes are naturally kosher, and I have found that I function better with the pattern of a 7th day shabbat. (Only in the last couple of years have j done this, and not because of anybody else) .
      I will have to look further into this, and you have given me somewhere else to look.
      So I suppose, for me, its an aspect of love?
      I appreciate your teaching and wish I knew the things you teach about years ago..

    Does God hear all prayers of people who are not truly "BORN again", who are not His Saints?
    I know people who are NOT truly IN CHRIST & they pray so are their prayers heard by God?

    • @arreola891
      @arreola891 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the only way to answer that is through scripture...
      - One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9.
      - For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
      I Peter 3:12.
      - Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. John 9:31 NKJV
      I truly believe that our sin and unrepentant, unforgiving hearts are a huge wall between us and God. The first prayer of repentance, forgiveness, and putting our faith in God are the first prayers that God hears from us and them from there after.

      We have found that using the Sealing Prayer has stopped most of the backlash against us. it is available under Resources and Prayers at godsfoundationbuilders.com. I have found that when we are able to close the doors that the enemy has to our lives, there is less assault. Repentance is the key to freedom.

    How do I know I'm called to intercede

    • @gfbiministries
      @gfbiministries  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jesus ever lives to make intercession. We are in Him and so we pray. Try to find a local group that is praying large prayers not just concerned with the belly button prayers of each person's needs. Are you baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Pray in tongues and the Lord will direct you to pray for what's on His heart

    • @arreola891
      @arreola891 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what's going on your life but in my personal case, the way I felt called to intercede is....my sister finally opened up about the fact that she's trapped in an abusive relationship (both physical/mental abuse). They have 5 children together and the children also suffer his wrath sometimes. I felt compelled to pray for her, the children and even him, like I've never felt compelled before for anyone else. So I fast/pray for them daily now and suddenly I watched a video about intercession prayers and that's when God planted that seed that I am called to intercede for them. You will feel this NEED to pray and intercede for family and you just can't shake it off. That's how I knew it was from God because I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Hope that helps.
