Unemployment is an odd concept in an economy where for so many folks it’s necessary to work multiple jobs just to get by. Loose one and you’re counted as employed but suddenly don’t have enough money to live.
The economy is grappling with uncertainties, global fluctuations, and pandemic aftermath, causing instability. Rising inflation, sluggish growth, and trade disruptions need urgent attention from all sectors to restore stability and stimulate growth.
Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?
It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.
I'm intrigued by this. I've searched for financial advisors online but it's kind of hard to get in touch with one. Okay if I ask you for a recommendation?

I have an employee that we hired 3.5 years ago. She hasn't followed through with anything she said she would.
We just did a performance review and based on our original contract, she is eligible for a promotion in November.
During the review, she said that if she gets promoted, she would do all the things promised initially. She seems to have no interest in doing the things promised currently, but appears to be holding out on them in order to get promoted.
What would you do?

The U.S. economy can actually get better if only the govt can start making better decisions for the sake of it's citizens, cos' they've really made life more difficult for its residents. Hyperinflation has left the less haves bearing the brunt of the burden. Its already eating into my entire $620k retirement portfolio. Like where else can we invest our money with less risks?
Just get a financial planner straight up! personally, I would invest in etf and also love investing in individual stocks. yes it’s riskier but I'm comfortable in my financial environment.

I have to comment on the 'Low Testosterone' comment. I have a couple of endocrinological disorders, one of which is very low testosterone. No doubt it has greatly affected my life. In fact, my T level is less than one-third of the low end of the normal scale.
However, I am a dyed-in-the-wool Conservative and I always have been. I will be voting for Trump and other Conservatives in November, just as I do every election. I am more inclined to believe that men born with low T may have come out of an environment that fostered a liberal mindset.

I know some of Peter St Onge's economic opinions from his TH-cam channel. I think he is 180 degrees wrong on tariffs, which I found he supports, judging by one of his videos, and his dire assessment of the overall condition of the US economy in this video is why he is wrong about tariffs. I think Harris is hopelessly committed to tariffs, but I wish I could see a greater commitment to free trade from Trump than I am seeing. Furthermore, both candidates should be asked whether they would commit to requiring all tariffs to be enacted by legislation emanating from Congress, since tariffs have the impact of taxes on Americans. From what I know of Charles Payne he is capable of doing a deeper dive of tariffs and other restrictions on foreign trade than regular business journalism allows, and he should do such a deeper dive.
A deep recession with extended unemployment that results in foreclosures would be bad in the short term but would help correct home prices and deeply hurt institutional investors like Blackrock. I hope it happens because home prices are absurd
