My family could never have lived in an hoa when I grew up. Our front yard was the neighborhood football field, thus had no grass. Our backyard had a baseball diamond, boxing ring and a tree house. In the winter, we'd flood the backyard for a skating rink. We would've been an hoa nightmare.
