I'm literally from the UK but born Chinese. I am so fascinated in teaching in China and making this a life. I have gotten my TEFL, but as far as that have no idea where to start! Your video is so interesting, even if it's a small bitesize!
Absolutely loved it! You're so sweet and beautiful, i'll be waiting for vlogs like this to get an idea about how's my next step will be, so thank you so much for sharing 💗
I'm currently looking at leaving my engineering profession of 16 years, to go and teach English in China, so I can move and live out in there with my Fiancé, who is Chinese and had to go back at the end of her University. :( I am British born in the UK and this is a great video for me to see what is like. What sort of salary are you looking at per month as an English teacher?
Dear lui ! I wanted to ask if it's possible for a hijabi foreigner teach in China. I'm a English department's student and I'm planning to find a job there, but I'm afraid if it isn't possible since I'm a hijabi. Do you have any idea sweetheart? ❤❤❤❤
Hello there! :) This is a great question, thanks so much for asking! Short answer is I do not know the answer to your question unfortunately. As far as I know and can suggest, I know that going through an agency is a great help when finding a teaching job. For me (as a Chinese American), it was helpful to have a reputable agency that represented me and advocated for me when looking for jobs. This helped with any kind of predispositions regarding ethnicity (many jobs like mine tend to prefer Caucasian faces over Asian ones). I also know that most teaching positions require English native speakers to teach, so having this would be a great help with the application process!
For our students, it depends! We teach several different classes so there are varying degrees of language fluency. That's where we come in as teachers... lots and lots of practice in class!
Hi there, what has your experience been as a Chinese American teaching? My husband is similar to you, so was just wondering what your experience has been with finding teaching jobs and working as an English teacher?
Hey there! It's definitely a different experience as an ABC in China... it's a mixed bag! In terms of finding a job, I went through an agency that helped me partner with my current school, which I found helpful. I'm not sure what the hiring process looks like as much for someone pursuing a solo/individual contract. I have another vlog that answers other questions that you may be wondering, if you're curious :) th-cam.com/video/XBcjamoSEuY/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=ElaineLiu

here's what the Bible has to say about celibacy jim: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 "I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord." hope this helps!
