pretty sick that there is a physical cartridge of OG doom on a modern platform, getting this since there is no disc for the remastered Xbox One port

Had to look up an unboxing. The arrow suggests you pull, and when it didn't move I got scared lol. Thanks for this. Now to load up a copy of doom 1, 2, and 3 on to the floppy drive

@@ShlibonSwitch And the main cover art is also a reference to the US variant of The Ultimate Doom’s packaging, the one that has a darkened original Doom art. This whole box is filled with classic goodness.

Wow, my order on the PS4 version was “in production” until the end of JANUARY. I placed my order near reveal, like a day or two afterwards. I have NO idea how THAT happened! But I got the same edition as you did and I LOVE it!

You DO need internet... both of your switches of the a Nintendo account on them. It has already been proven. It really sucks limited run dropped the ball with this release
Nice unboxing, the problem with DOOM/DOOM II is that both are unplayable if you are using a "brand new account that never logged on eShop".

How long after order do you actually get your games from limited run? I’m still waiting on Zombies at my neighbors
Limited Run always takes awhile. I just order and forget knowing it'll eventually come
I ordered this in May and just received (9 months). Its usually 6-8 months. This one was longer for some reason
Versions 1.0.8 of Doom 1 and Doom 2 are the problematic versions with aggressive DRM. If you start these games WITHOUT a linked online account on your system (e.g., from a fresh system reset) the games will pop a warning every few seconds which makes them unplayable and the only fix is by updating. This means these games will be unplayable in the future when you can't link an online account anymore.
how do you know if your cartridge is the non drm version? from what i heard all sealed new copies of the doom collection have the drm issue and only cartridges sent back to lrg for an updated copy don’t have this drm issue.

On switch doom 64 got a separate physical release from limited run.
There is a retail edition that comes with doom 2016 on cart and download codes for Doom 1-3 & 64
