The battery on this bike is not lithium ion of what your thinking it’s new and improved it’s lithium iron fosfate which is more reliable and will hold a charge for a long time so electric start is awesome for this bike except when it’s cold you gotta give it a little gas
Shayden Mendoza well I have it where I don’t hath to hold the clutch in and I took out the screen on the air box filter thing lol and these bikes are all top end with a soft bottom so idling up a little will help with start and it won’t affect it much

No kicktart is a terrible idea. It's not comparable to a car/truck as it is used in a completely different scenario and can leave you stranded where there are no people, and some people say, well carry a jumpstart, ok great, so in addition to the weight of the starter we now have to carry a backpack with a jumpstarter. Good lord what a dumb idea to not have a Kickstart as a backup.
Abnormal Shadow, except that I'm not trolling. E-start with no backup is foolish. Let me know the first time you decide to go trail ride or ride in the desert with your bike like hundreds of thousands of other "motocross bike" owners and you will be kicking yourself.

I have no complaints about it at all, the motor is a very strong high revving motor that pulls hard through every gear. it is lacking on the bottom end but a stab at the clutch through the corners brings it up in the revs easy I highly recommend it, it is an all round great bike.

We have done alot of testing on it and it is a great all around bike to us maybe laking a little bottom end, but if you ride it hight rpms and stab the clutch out of corners there is no issue. It is designed for agreesivr high reving riding. I would also like to know, do you personally own the same model or are you just reading worthless cop outs of others and joining in on the band wagon?
my friend owned a 2006 yz250 2 stroke and it blew through 4 gearbox's every bike brand has some problems it dosent mean the 2018 Hondas have the same problems, I've raced my 2018 Honda against a 2018 yz250f and the imperfections of the Honda don't outweigh the imperfections of the Yamaha they are both fairly equally matched
where have you got those horsepower numbers from because from what I've seen the only bike that has more power then the Honda is the ktm and the husky, I don't know why you are comparing a kx450 to a 250f, if you look at the 2018 250f shootout you can clearly see that the Honda is one of the best bikes out there, and if you are comparing it to a husky and a ktm then don't say that the handa is gay for having electric start because both of those bikes do as well, even Kawasaki are going to be electric start soon as well. i could also say that the only reason someone else bought a certain bike is for the looks but that does not matter, I have always ridden a Honda and that is why I bought one, don't act like you know why someone has bought a bike when you probably haven't even ridden a 2018 bike you have no idea what the new Honda is like to ride

yea for single track or trails in general I would way rather a 2 stroke I had a cr250r before my 2018 crf250r and I enjoyed that a lot more on trials

heads up mate i have the same bike and that (choke) is actually not a choke it’s for when the temp is lower the 10 degrees for a cold start mechanism

nah mate, I suggest using the choke when cold starting and I always give a little throttle and it starts straight away
