Yes, they did. I recall a comparison they knew Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم like their own son. Let me look it up.
    Yes. Al-An'am, verse 20.
"Those to whom We gave the Scripture recognize him ˹to be a true prophet˺ as they recognize their own children. Those who have ruined themselves will never believe."

My country is in a position to be like the people of Al-Ansar but the nation never signed any refugee convention. We do have refugees in our nation and they keep coming. But our law doesn't protect them as the law doesn't recognize them, so they survive in my country by the compassion Allah bestowed in the hearts of people. It's not good enough because they also get taken advantage of by human traffickers on borders (our border patrols found human cages and mass graves in South Thailand-North Malaysia border) and they cannot seek justice because of their refugee status. My government plays the majority votes sentiment enough without adding the refugeee problem into the equation so it is clear my government does not seek to come up with long-term solution for the refugees. It is the problem of democracy, the ruling party has every logical reason to maintain majority votes, to keep staying in power, ergo, there is no reason for any of the policymakers to be humane to non-voters and non-tax payers. It is the degeneracy of nationalism. I hope the muslims here abandon the man-made inhumane laws and make Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah our main reference of laws and treaties, including on how to treat the refugees like the people of Al-Ansar did. We cannot afford to wait on our secular government to solve anything.
    My heart hurts.
    Ar-Rahim Al-Waliyy Al-Muhaymin ease.

Deuteronomy 18:18 mentions prophet from among Ishmaelites
Isaiah 12:29 reference to an illiterate messenger receiving a book "in his hand", also translated to "at chira" aka hira where Mohamed s.a.w.s. received revelation but wA changed per attached images (Bible scholars note approximate time of different editors and that editor was after Mohamed s.a.w.s.)
John 16:7 Jesus a.s. references "comforter" to come after him (some interpret as holy spirit but spirit was with Jesus a.s. at all times)
Genesis 21:13 great nation from the son of Abraham and Hajar
    Genesis 21:19 well of zamzam
"The servant of Isaiah who will bring justice to the gentiles with an army of 10,000 men in the land where Kedar lives" (Kedar=son of Ishmael), Prophet s.a.w.s. marched into Mecca with army of 10,000
John 1:21 asking John if he's "that prophet" after already mentioning Jesus a.s. and others

Sorry for the poorly written explanations; these are just from my notes but if you do some research you will find more details

No it doesn't. It specifically says in Deuteronomy 18:15 that the prophet(s) will be an Israelite: navi kamoni meqirbekha, me'akheykha/'a prophet like me, from among you [Israelites], from among your brothers.'
The Comforter is the Holy Spirit: John 14:26.
      "10,000 men"
You're confusing two different passages, Deuteronomy 33:2 and Isaiah 42, and they don't say that anyway.

@@ConsideringPhlebas Jesus was an Israelite, the prophets before Jacob( Isreal) where not Israelites, so God does send prophets from other races and nation’s.

Yeah, but the question was about Deuteronomy 18, which specifies a prophet from among the Israelites: Deut. 18:15.

This message kinda reminds me of Muslims who were raised in Islam attitude towards reverts…they’d call us Wahabis cause we’d try and stick to the Sunnah too much🤦🏿‍♂️

    OFC they Knew it....
    ---------------------
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment. ...12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
    - John 16:7-8,12-13 (King James Version)
    ---------
beside that, there is a place namrd becca/bacca mentions in the bible, where pilgrimage are made to the House of God...
    in the Quran as well...
...so ... they knew it all...

"'There's nothing after what we were given.' That's very convenient, right? 'There's no guidance after what we were given. We have the monopoly on the guidance and we're God's chosen people.' And Islam says that's not the way it works."
The irony is that's exactly how Islam says it works, Muhammad being the "Seal of the Prophets," the Quran being the 'Final Testament' etc.

Key difference being "We have the monopoly on the guidance and we're God's chosen people." Communities that came before Islam tried to turn their status as recipients of revelation into an identity instead of a covenant that had to constantly be renewed and fulfilled. Their jealousy that anyone else should be given revelation led them to reject that fact and reject genuine prophets of God.
Muslims are not jealous that anyone else has been given revelation. We don't deny that they were given revelation, we don't deny their prophets, in fact, we are required to believe in them and the fact that they were given revelation. However, we also realize that those communities did not adequately preserve the revelations given to them, necessitating the revelation of the Quran. We believe the Quran is the final revelation of God out of submission because that's what it says, not out of group pride or jealousy toward other groups.
      Big difference.

It will not be in accordance with your desires (Muslims), nor those of the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians), whosoever works evil, will have the recompense thereof, and he will not find any protector or helper besides Allah.
      Quran, Nissa 123

Islam, the Quran and the example of the prophet (saws) is for all humanity. It does not belong to Muslims. It belongs to God. The previous Prophets and their dispensations were all submitted to God (i.e. Muslims). We don't hold the monopoly on good behaviour. We try to follow what God has generously revealed to us to his blessed prophet. He sent around 140 000 prophets through His grace and generosity. There had to be a last one because everything has an end. The final Messenger came 1445 years ago. It's our duty to follow him and emulate him to the best of our abilities and we will be rewarded here and in the next life if we do. Not doing so willfully and intentionally is wrong and a punishable offense.
