Another great video from Justin. I’m a fellow SBC member who is troubled about what’s going on the past few years. God has a great plan for Josh and his congregation.
Hope you are doing well Justin. It was about one year ago that we left our SBC church. Over the course of about a year (2020) we had been watching some things take place that really caused us some concern, specifically the events surrounding the 2019 convention. We were introduced to a number of individuals like you who were instrumental in your teachings concerning false doctrine, weakness in the pulpit, etc, etc. We researched for about a year covering many things from a number of teachers including the Kozars, McArthur, P. Johnson, F4F, P. Washer, and many others prior to our decision to leave. My wife and I share in Dr Buice’s comments concerning the SBC’s issues with inerrancy & sufficiency. We have looked at it from the perspective that the SBC has added to the Scripture in the way that the Mormons have added the Book of Mormon. In short it would seem the SBC has somehow determined that what God said in His word wasn’t enough, and they have sought out man’s wisdom to supplement what they have deemed to be a failure on God’s part to sufficiently handle. As I stated to the pastor upon leaving “My problem is not that they voted on it (CRT&I) nor that it passed. My problem is that it was up for a vote to begin with. It should have been rejected out of hand.” It’s grieving that so many have bought into this horrific ideology.
@@TheNugentc Why would you have to change denominations? I go to a Baptist church that isn’t a part of the SBC. In fact I’ve been to other Baptist churches in the past who aren’t a part of the SBC.
@@dianem6951 To be fair though, I've seen many 'Baptist' churches that have wholly embraced a progressive ideology, so at this point, the label doesn't seem to matter much anymore, but instead knowing a church's specific statement of faith and whether the lead pastor's teaching is biblically sound. For example, one of the largest 'Baptist' churches in my area is lead by a openly lesbian pastor and has an openly gay youth pastor. They fly the rainbow, trans, bisexual etc flags outside their building. Progressive ideology is spreading through the church like wildfire, and choosing a church simply by the title on the wall or by denomination alone is a part of the problem, IMHO.
It’s always political and climbing the ladder by standing on others. You are well out of that situation sir and may God bless your family and ministry! Chris, Australia.
That is very true, in the end we all have to stand before Christ Jesus. I too left the SB denomination a few years back. What a blessing to have heard this interview.
God bless you Justin and God bless Joshua to have made that decision of leaving that heratic SBC. I will pray for all of those who doesn't follow God word in the bible. Great job Justin brother. God bless Kathy to brother
Many points of truth came to mind during this video; 1] the issue of relenting to pragmatism leads to leaving scripture and turning to man centered philosophy 2] when God abandons a people/nation for their rejection of truth [Rom 1 v18-32]: "...so God *gave them over"* [Acts 14 v16]: "God let the nations *go their own way* [uninterrupted in their sin] like we see today 3] the great point you made Justin at 41:08 re: by Whom we will stand before, Who will judge, and by which standard: He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day [John 12 v48]. Wonderful video.
Thank you for uploading this interview Justin. It was very helpful. I pray this conversation begins soon at our church as I share these same convictions.
Dr. Bucie's church is an example of how God can use this sad situation. People will have to actively choose to follow Jesus, and those who are not following Him will be exposed. Just watched a very good sermon about holiness by John McArthur. He spoke extensively about sound doctrine causing us to desire holiness, as an outflowing of gratefulness in our hearts that our sins are forgiven.
Thank you, Justin! “The Church” in general, is being sifted, and great clarity is being revealed. We as believers, have to be wise and discerning. As this pastor says, our reference point is, and has to always be Scripture, and it’s complete inerrancy, and sufficiency. This pastor and his elders were very wise in the way that they chose to educated the congregation. The true Church belongs to God, not to any human formed organization.
I hope that more people see discern and take action in the church. I am watching. I get red flags. Please Pray for more confirmation in my discerning in a church that I have attended. Thank you.
Thank you Justin. That was an excellent interview. The questions and answers were measured and sobering. Without the Lord’s mercy I can’t see the SBC reversing course with this CRT poison so thoroughly in all positions of leadership including the seminary headed by Al Mohler. I continue to mourn over Dr Mohler’s embracing of this. I would never have believed him capable if I hadn’t heard and read his comments for myself not to mention the deafening silence in defending the sufficiency of scripture. I know if he was here his good friend RC Sproul would say to him; “WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!” God bless you brother!

Thank you Justin for this video.i like the fact that both yourself and Dr.Buice both took your time to thoroughly investigate these topics as y'all didn't just make a snap judgement but took much time and effort into making your decision before leaving.I think men of God should reason this way.
When church leaders become more concerned with numbers than sound teaching, churches lose their mission. The same thing happened to the Methodist church decades ago. The command by Jesus to be mindful of the things of God rather than men is not just for the individual Christian but for the entire Christian body.
So much of this going around. I was in an American Baptist Church when they decided to separate from the convention. Their reason at that time was in the inclucivity policies of the hierarchy. Homosexuality amongst leaders in the convention was accepted but my Church and others chose to separate and formed a new convention. This trend is not new, my mother saw liberalism creeping into the teaching materials in the late 50's, early 60's.
I appreciate your advice, some months ago, when you told me NOT to fear leaving the SBC. Since then, the Lord has opened the opportunity for me to transition out from said denomination and church! We patiently await the fulfillment of His plan and look to discovering the congregation He wants us to join in fellowship!
I am a Christian and Christ saved me at age nine years. I feel sad about everything in the Southern Baptist convention. I am saddened because I love missions. I used to give to the Lottie Moon Christmas offering for foreign missions and the Annie Armstrong Easter offering for home missions. I am praying and I reallly do not now what to do. I told my pastor that I did not think I could give to these mission offerings any more.
I was talking to my wife this morning: this "split" in the church is about allegiance. Where is our allegiance truly? And the fact is men are either about God's agenda, or one of a 1000 man made agendas. God bless you brothers for remaining faithful and encouraging us.
Justin I thank the Lord God for true faithful men of God standing up for the Truth and strong Live in Jesus Christ believing in the infallible word of God speaking out against false doctrine and power grabbers in the government all the world. I enjoying supporting and following all genuine men of God, serving Jesus Christ being a light in a dark sin sick world. Love all the work you do for the Lord God.
This is the path that I have chosen individually. The southern Baptist church that I grew up in (yes, a member of the SBC)... that my grandparents were charter members of... my grandfather was a deacon and my grannie taught Sunday School for 45 years... has done away with the choir and the hymns in the red hymnals and the beautiful piano and organ playing, in favor of a "worship leader" playing a guitar, using over head projection for words to repetitive, unstructured choruses. Eschatology with the occasional "hell, fire and brimstone" message, as well as the alter call every service, have been done away with. There is no sacredness of the sanctuary. The foyer where the elders and deacons greeted everyone every service has been turned into a coffee bar. So much has happened that I have just prayed about and moved on from, because I was trying to take the high road, and be a faithful member. But, as was stated in this interview... they left me... I am now at an independent Baptist church that meets the criteria of a Christ centered, Bible believing, pretrib rapture church can meet... even KJV only and supporting local missions. I'm praying about membership, but I know that will happen in God's time.
Thank you for this interview brothers Peters and Buice! This is something similar to what's happening with the Mennonite Church US and Mennonite Church Canada denominations (both formally the General Conference denomination). I would argue they have drifted even further to the left already than the SBC. They have been invaded by the Progressive Christian theology and doctrines. Same as with the SBC, individual churches and sometimes sub-conferences have been leaving the denomination in both the US and Canada. And just as G3 Ministries is to these churches that leave the convention, for the Mennonite churches there is the Evana Network, which churches that have left the MC US and MC Canada and the ones still part of the conference, can join. Evana Network tries steer back to the Bible.
Another great vid! Giving money to the Cooperative Program is paying people who hate you. It's that simple. The March through the Institutions continues.
I'm a deacon and worship director at Myrtle Creek First Baptist Church and we were part of the SBC for many decades and we left 3 years ago. They have let liberal theology creep into their doctrines and we had enough. We didn't leave them, they left us.
This is sad I grew up Southern Baptist If they are following this Then they have left BIBLICAL TRUTH behind Then I can no longer follow this Thanks for the education ThUMBS UP Justin
This is not all Southern Baptist Churches. The SBC doesn’t speak for all Baptists. Just the churches that are members of this large organization. It’s not the same thing. I go to a Southern Baptist church that is not a member of the SBC.
I appreciate you guys and your hard work, and I empathize with you pain because the liberal drift of the SBC breaks my heart and don't agree with the use of resources. However, I am going to fight until a resurgence, big split, or a complete decimation. I was raised landmark missionary baptist and Independent Baptist, so spiritual warfare against political powers isn't new to me.
@@JustinPetersMin I have been wondering who would be the first bold ones that I had heard of that would step away from the SBC. I've never been a part of it but it seems like it's going down hill fast. I worry about the souls that feel they are trapped in it. It is sad but it's also good to see Christian men who are willing to take a stand and say "Enough." They are taking the side of Scripture not culture and it makes me :) .
Thank you for keeping us informed. As someone sitting in the pew how do we get our leadership to face the truth of SBC and address it? I have spoken to the pastor who brushed it off and said the local association was going to try to turn SBC around.
It took a while, but I finally found a Baptist church in Western KY that does not belong to the SBC. Expository preaching and preaches the gospel. I feel blessed.
Thank you Pastor Justin & Pastor Josh for your bravery. Some churches are drifting so we need to pray that other churches & pastors will remain strong. I just happened to read this today via Wikipedia regarding Pres Jimmy Carter: In 2000, Carter severed his membership with the Southern Baptist Convention, saying the group's doctrines did not align with his Christian beliefs, while still a member of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.[415] In 2007, together with former President Clinton, he founded the New Baptist Covenant organization for social justice.

Thanks Justin. I believe this is a major problem. In Canadian Mennonite Conference, the leadership have abandoned the bible (probably long ago) and have become a social justice, unbiblical marriage, and climate focused church. The church we belonged to opposed this. I have left this denomination 5 years ago. Christians need to read the bible, trust the authority of the bible, and believe it. What shocked me at their 2016 national conference was the belief, that the Holy Spirit was nudging them to accept a liberal definition of marriage. Clearly the bible is in opposition to the spirit that was heard. Another thing, the big concern at the Conference that there would still be unity when this passed (and it did pass the vote). The biggest concern was unity? Nothing about being obedient to our Lord. God bless you Justin for being a faithful teacher of our Lord Jesus.

Question.. when you left SBC what demonation did you go to?! Hope that's not offensive I am honestly just curious..😅

Why would you have to change denominations?
@@dianem6951 I don’t think she knows that?
It’s always political and climbing the ladder by standing on others. You are well out of that situation sir and may God bless your family and ministry! Chris, Australia.
That is very true, in the end we all have to stand before Christ Jesus.
I too left the SB denomination a few years back. What a blessing to have heard this interview.
Are you attending a congregation and what denomination now?
Have to separate from those who separate from God's truth
I absolutely love these two men of God. Exiting the SBC was a Great decision. May God bless you both for your faithfulness
Thank you all for making a stand for righteousness the word of God is a two edged sword.
Thank you for your faithfulness to the WORD of the ALMIGHTY!
The sermon by McArthur

Very eye opening! Thank you for the honesty! Praise The Lord for his people who uphold his standards!
Blessed beyond measure. I praise God for two men who have a heartbeat for the desire to serve God above men.
Great to see a man of God stand up against the flowing tide. Thank you for this great interview.
Thank you.
Praise God . Prayers for continued blessings to these church’s that stand on the truth.thank you brothers
Thanks Justin.
Pastor Josh seems like a real man of God.
Tell him thank you for the interview.
God bless you all.
🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Justin for holding this interview.
Blessings Justin. I just love how you bless the body of christ. May the Lord always guide us all to do His will
All over the world, we have bible truth believers.!Amen for the brothers
My brother you are a true man of God, may God instruct you, and bless your endeavors.
Blessings to you, Epieson :)
Thank you.
Hello from east Tennessee area and thanks for giving a good review and update on the sbc pulling away from what Gods word says. Kind of sad that they chose to go down that road. Harold L Dye - God Bless
We are so glad to have found G3 Ministries! We are starting their study on Worship in a home group this month. God bless you both.
It is very reassuring to hear of a sound ministry these days. ✝️
Glad to see pastors taking a stand
Thank you for truth, for wisdom to tell the story well. So many older Baptist friends are just ignoring what happened and is happening. So sad!
I support Josh 10000%
That was so refreshing and heartwarming to watch. God is good. Alleluia.
Thank you for your excellent commentary, Mr. Peters. I also have my MDIV from SWBTS and working on my PhD currently at the seminary.
Thank you so much both of you.
I think there are many going through the same things in different churches today. Me too, I left my church in this year.
Hello Justin. I am a hispanic Pastor of a SBC church and I have been considering leading our church to leave because of this issues and others that I have witness in the California SBS and at our Association (region) I was not looking for your video but it showed in my suggestions and I'm "glad" (not much because this is sad) I found it. May God continue blessing you hermano and your ministry.
I wish i had a Reformed church near me. All i have is SBC and IFB and methodist and pentecostal or prosperity gospel. I go but its hard listening to things being taught wrong. I do not correct my elders however. I just enjoy being with fellow saints as im Commanded.
I am a nobody from Alabama butI praise God for this decision 🙌. We must stand on Gods word and not what the culture says.
Thank you so very much and God bless and Grace to you and your beautiful wife.
Move?
Plant a church?
@@timvandermey4792 of that were an option i would In a heartbeat. But what about all the other people I dont know about that believe like us? We really need a Reformed church in Cherokee county Alabama
I have the same problem where I live. I understand your struggle.
@@brucekirk5081 I live in Foley, AL and am having a problem finding a church that is after the likes of John MacArthur's teachings and not insisting that only the KJV is allowed. I find that position untenable and a real problem for me, even if the pastor seems to be very passionate about the word of God.
@@deborahparrish2201 I agree with you about the 'kjv only' nonsense but I would count that as something I could live with if the doctrine, preaching and teaching is Biblically correct. The city where I live is a spiritual desert of sjw, kum-by-ya Sunday social clubs that seem to think the Bible is a secondary thought in church
Thank you Justin for this video.i like the fact that both yourself and Dr.Buice both took your time to thoroughly investigate these topics as y'all didn't just make a snap judgement but took much time and effort into making your decision before leaving.I think men of God should reason this way.
And the chasm between the true and faithful follower of Jesus and those that are not grows ever wider almost by the day
I left it six years ago. There is a saying "Get woke go broke." Let the Leftists have it. God-fearing pastors need to stick to teaching God's word.
When church leaders become more concerned with numbers than sound teaching, churches lose their mission. The same thing happened to the Methodist church decades ago. The command by Jesus to be mindful of the things of God rather than men is not just for the individual Christian but for the entire Christian body.
Looking forward to this interview. Thanks for sharing Justin!!!
You're most welcome, brother - blessings to y'all :)
So by now, Have you found a church yet?
@@cat-bg3rv - It's been a bit of a journey, but I believe we found a solid, Biblical church. Thank you for asking!
@@toddgreve6587 I think most Christians have been through "church" journeys. Jesus sees us through to the end. ✝️
God bless you Br. Justin for all you do for Christ's sake.
Thank you this was a blessing.
Jesus is King
Thank you for this day Lord Jesus, I’m so thankful and grateful and God bless you JP
Tears to my eyes. We are living in the end times...
Jesus did nt tell us to have denomi ations we did ourselves. Shame on us.
Exactly. Support Dr. Buice. Thank you.
😕🙏🏽
Excellent interview and information. Thank you!!
Thanks Justin for sharing this with us.
Wow, wow, wow.... powerful truth - thank you
Another great vid!
Oh my goodness how is this possible how can they accept this
I appreciate you guys and your hard work, and I empathize with you pain because the liberal drift of the SBC breaks my heart and don't agree with the use of resources. However, I am going to fight until a resurgence, big split, or a complete decimation. I was raised landmark missionary baptist and Independent Baptist, so spiritual warfare against political powers isn't new to me.
Thanks Justin! Always up for some good news. lol
Thank you, Denise! :)
We are biblical told not to add or subtract from the Bible. God bless you both and the congregation that looks to you for guidance and the truth
Thank you for keeping us informed. As someone sitting in the pew how do we get our leadership to face the truth of SBC and address it? I have spoken to the pastor who brushed it off and said the local association was going to try to turn SBC around.
thank you for standing up for God's word....
Happy New Year... I am so blessed to watch your show. Its so encouraged to me. Amen
It took a while, but I finally found a Baptist church in Western KY that does not belong to the SBC. Expository preaching and preaches the gospel. I feel blessed.
Love you Justin peters. And love what you doing God bless you ✝️
Thank you Pastor Justin & Pastor Josh for your bravery.
Carter is not a Christian and neither is Clinton.
@@ThomasCranmer1959 It was just a coincidence I looked up how old Pres Carter was today and read that! I've gotten so I also question things written on Wikipedia.
From a respectable source, this informative site on the web is not fully trustworthy.

@@JustinPetersMin Absolutely! Watching American Gospel was the means the Spirit used to save me out of my dead religion. Thank you for all your Christ-exalting work!
As you discuss what has happened with CRT and it's coupling with Gospel, I am reminded of Rev 22:18-19: "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.'
Dr. Josh Bruice made the right decision.
Gosh it’s really awful isn’t it. Liberal marriage - is that living together?
God bless you Justin for your ministry🙏🙏🙏
Thank you, Macel - blessings to you as well :)
When many in the SBC wouldn't mention the elephant in the room by name (critical race theory), I knew things weren't right.
I left the SBC 11 years ago. I pastored 18 years in SBC churches. I saw the writing on the wall when I attended the 1985 SBC at Dallas Texas.
Thank you, brother, and Amen!
Awesome Justin. Thank you.
