True! everything in history happened because of money and it was backed by a belief of white superiority. Its happened other places in the world, but morso from classism, rich vs poor, or casts systems royalty and peasants.
Growing up in the '90s I learned about racism and slavery, Jim Crow and segregation. We were taught in elementary school the heroes of our nation such as Abe Lincoln alongside and in lockstep with the black figures in our history who were presented equally if not more as heroes, as their fight was against a tangible and real evil very recent in our past. While I would have welcomed and would openly advocate for a more detailed history with some of the lesser known names, I can honestly say as a kid I felt the same sort of pride when learning about Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, or Martin Luther King then I did in regards to any other American figure, despite being a white Jewish kid. Sure my understanding was limited in juvenile, I was a child, but call it naive but that sense of pride and the knot in my throat I got when listening to Dr Kings I had a dream speech as a child was good. And that, as a grown man with much more knowledge of the world and its messiness and persistent injustice, it feels the exact same way, is good. It's pride of truth itself, in the goodness and resilience of other people, it's pride for the love of Liberty, in the universal spirit that transcends ones time and space, or anything else. This is not to say the experience of someone black is not on top of this completely separate and foreign to me, I'm sure that it is, just as the feeling is different thinking about my relatives who escaped Poland before the wars, and Russia before the purges, and all those that did not brings up in me a feeling unique. But thinking of such things I'm sure also brings upon to others that same sense much more strong I believe, that ultimately unites. Sorry to be sappy, but all this debate makes me equal parts modeling to scared. Equity is not equality, The means to reach the stated goals of equity have been tried throughout our history, and to genocidal effect. They have their beliefs because of things they never learned or things they pretend to have forgotten. This goes double when so many black conservatives are just mimicking white conservatives. There's not a single unique thought in their head. And to put the target on myself, I'm saying this as a black person who was previously fairly moderate. So, as a formally educated black woman who was raised in the US and who has experienced both personal and systemic racism during my lifetime, and I am 33, I am not for pretending certain historical facts and events did not occur to appease Whypipo so they don’t “feel bad”. At the end of the day, these same Wypipo, both previously and currently didn’t seem to care about anyone’s else’s feelings when they operated in their racist ideologies, they didn’t care about other people’s children and how it would impact them. So now, they want to once again Whytewash history to fit their narrative and agenda. For example, slavery was bad, from the perspective of the oppressed slaves, it was bad that’s why they wanted freedom, and the descendants of slave masters, aka many Whypipo today, don’t get to now say, “oh well, I feel guilty about what my ancestors did, so don’t speak the truth about it”. Nope, not with that at all. It is not about guilt, it is about teaching about the heinous atrocities that have occurred throughout human history, and that includes the US, in order to inform and help the next generation understand they have a responsibility to not repeat the atrocities of the past. Now, if THEY want to call that “CRT” whatever, but, the truth is the truth and facts are facts no matter if someone is uncomfortable hearing them. Now there is some validity towards that argument but that will only happen by having everyone start from at state a little over poverty and if you try to advance in that stage, the government will shut that down because in order for everyone to be equal they must remain in a social class either in or just a little over poverty. Just look at the history of Communist countries. What's messed up is knowing that the first incident of racism that occurs for many kids happens at school or on a playground. And that white children are more likely to be socialized with ideas around entitlement from an early age...Schools have an obligation to teach children how to function in society, which means learning how accept people and learning how to get along besides the 3Rs. I don't get why having honest conversations about racism is such an issue.
Your entire argument rests on the idea that white people are taught “entitlement” lol. You’re just making things up. Kids learn about racism, sexism, ugly-ism and every other “ism” on the playground. Stop pretending all of life is about race
Since when was it schools obligation to teach children how to "function in society.' If you can't read well, you can't do basic math, and can't speak well then you limit that society in which you might function well. In the beginning it was noted that 15% Having a two parent family would be far superior than having millions of different "random" teachers saying how to function. If you build your "house on sand" rather than on a "rock" you have major long term problems. THAT is the problem with so many children in the country today. The black "traditional" (father and mother) has been destroyed by Democrats for decades by making it possible for women to get buy on welfare from, yes, mostly White taxpayers. I dare anyone to take a look at the figures for incarceration. The % of prison inmates that come from single parent families, black, white, hispanic, is astounding, and of course tragic. Greg Foreman has it right. Why are we worried about CRT when 8th graders are reading at a 15% level!! What history book could they even read?

I think Marc lost after time stamp 8:30, asking for Greg to name anyone that pushes CRT, Greg mentions the professor from Rutgers. Then Marc tries to switch the question after Greg proved him wrong lol.
I think this is where Black people are getting caught up on CRT. They see someone telling there children that they are oppressed, but i went to school in the late 60's and 70,'s and graduated in the early 80's. I was taught about slavery in school, learned about the slave trade from roots on tv, touch the hands of former slaves, knew people who 10 years old when it ended and people who escape because they was born the year it ended. I know people today who remember Jim Crow and having to go to back of restaurants to get something to eat, drinking out of colored water fountains and make sure they was hime before nightfall so the wouldn't get beat hung. So CRT was something to upset white folks to get trump votes.
MLH just mischaracterized every thing he said but I’ll agree that he was less prepared and less charismatic than MLH. MLH is wrong on this being taught in school though. Many school districts have received anti-racist training from Robin D’Angelo and Ibrem X Kendi and changed there curriculums to reflect that. San Francisco is lowering grading standards for black students for crying out loud. Imagine the School district thinking they are being anti-racist but then just telling black people that they are a lost cause and not as smart as others so we must power testing requirements. That’s crazy racist. This divides the working class and prevents us from having the working class solidarity we need to actually organize around policy that will truly create more equitable outcomes.
@@brasshouse-og Foreman wasn't mischaracterized from what I saw. He just did not have any research or examples to back up his claims so they were exposed as hollow. There's even less to learn from black conservatives than black Dems. I say this with all serioisness: for most black people, conservatism is a rebellious phase or a grift. Black Americans are familiar with parts of black history that many white people frankly are not - think of how many people had to learn about the Tulsa massacre or even the prevalence of race riots in general from.a comic book show. We understand thay conservatives are lying when they claim to care about freedom, economic justice, racial equality, etc. We understand that not only academically but because we live on the business end of conservative policy. So when we see black conservatives it's hard to take them seriously. They don't have anything to teach us. They have their beliefs because of things they never learned or things they pretend to have forgotten. This goes double when so many black conservatives are just mimicking white conservatives. There's not a single unique thought in their head.
And to put the target on myself, I'm saying this as a black person who was previously fairly moderate. I used to read not just "both sides" but as many sides as possible in good faith (I can talk Nocik, Charles Mills and Marx, or orthodox constitutional analysis vs. analyzes based on Charles Beard, for example), but when you do that, you quickly learn some positions just don't have anything to offer anyone. The Democrats pushed a welfare policy where our women were incentivized to hate men and have bastard children out of marriage. And anybody in the United States knows that the key to generational wealth is the nuclear family hands-down it’s true which is why you always see foreigners coming over here and dominating including black foreigners. I don’t feel one bit of empathy for these folks trying to leave out history under the guise of condemning some phantom “monster” they call CRT.

The fact that he sees that as taking from White people is problematic in itself. Systemic racism and injustice is and was intentional so you have to be intentional to reverse it
We don’t start from the same place in height, looks, weight, eye color, acumen, athleticism etc. The point is to run your race from wherever you start.
No, equity is a term being used to bring in Communism, by trying to sell a lie that we can all start at the same place. Now there is some validity towards that argument but that will only happen by having everyone start from at state a little over poverty and if you try to advance in that stage, the government will shut that down because in order for everyone to be equal they must remain in a social class either in or just a little over poverty. Just look at the history of Communist countries.

As if it really matters whether you call it CRT, or anti-Racism, or Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, or Civil Rights, or Let's Talk, or Learning for Justice, or Culturally Responsive Training, etc. etc. etc. CRT ideology has been implemented across the nation in various school systems for various student levels and parents do not want the radical leftist racial garbage ideology taught to their kids. MLH lost this one. It's pretty simple, teach children about historical events and leave them to make their own conclusions.
BCP is the man. He WRECKS in this interview. Beaut. 👏👏👏👏
@@gravity3007 "socialized" and "taught" are not the same thing. You people immediately create your own narratives. 😆
Teach factual American History, not Theory based on Races, it creates a classroom of hostility and angst.
Show me an example where they are teaching that show a curriculum, the school district and I will be waiting you clown

Who wants that kind of smoke AGAIN?! 😂
