I know that not everyone will be happy about this video being in German, but like I said it has subtitles and it was a lot of fun for me to record. Also, a reaction in Japanese to BTS speaking Japanese is also coming up, which was equally fun to record. Big hugs, Beyoutees! 💜

Warmed my heart when I saw them live in Amsterdam and they spoke dutch, allowed us to sing Jimin a happy birthday and they even had dutch words on screen. Wholesome men doing everything to make ARMY feel included. 👏🏼💜
BTS has a language teacher in each country they are at to teach them some phrases in that country's native language. They then practice it along themselves to get the pronunciation right. Their mentality has always been "these fans took the time to look up the meaning of our Korean songs, and are even learning Korean to understand us better, therefore we should make the minimal effort to learn some of their language" This is why they are so beloved.

I love this!! Would it be too much to ask for you to do some more videos in German here and there?? I genuinely can’t explain how much I enjoyed this 😅 It’s so truly satisfying to realise that even after years of not using my German, some part of my brain still goes on autopilot when I hear it and now I just want to do more - I feel like I need to find my teacher and tell her the years of putting up with me weren’t in vain hahah! You highlighting how difficult some of the pronunciation in German is to non-speakers made me really think how different I’ve found Korean pronunciation is while attempting to learn it. Just to think they’re having the same experience going the opposite way and I remain even more impressed that these guys take the time to even learn a few sentences when they don’t have to 🥺
Is this the first time me knowing both German and Korean has merged in such an epic way?? Yes. Vindication is sweet today 😂😂 (It’s been years since I’ve spoken German or been to Germany so I’m actually surprised I remember so much that I understand what you’re saying w/o subtitles 😂😂)
This was so fun to watch! I love hearing and trying to pronounce words in different languages so it was fun trying to repeat after whatever you said, and it was great to see you talking in your mother tongue💜 So the part about Germany meaning ‘young people’ in Korean - let me shortly explain it So the word for ‘young person’ in Korean is 젊은이, which is pronounced something like Jeol-meun-ee. It’s not the exact same sound as ‘Germany’, but it sounds really similar! Rm said that he’s a Korean ‘Jeolmeuni’ (young Korean), and that the crowd were German ‘Jeolmeuni’s (young Germans)! Also ‘German’ sounds close to 젊은 ‘Jeol-meun’ which means ‘young’, so it took me a second to understand what he meant when he said German ‘Jeolmeuni’s, coz it kinda sounded like he was saying ‘young young-people’ lol
That was so fun to watch! I studied German for 5 years but that was 30 years ago, so unfortunately I had to turn the subtitles on! ;) Lol. Thank you for providing those! It was cool to hear you speak your native language, and to hear BTS speaking a little German as well! Sehr toll!

I was curious the most your reaction to Hoseok since his pronunciation was really good and he's your (and also mine) bias. Many army says Hoseok is the king of languages and it's hard to disagree with that. For many languages that he speaks his pronunciation is always on point and he tries really hard to connect with the fans. International army are always impressed by Hobi speaking their language! It's really nice from our boys to trying connect with us even more by speaking in our language :)
For the longest time, I didn't even know you were German - you sound like a native English speaker but with a little something else mixed in (I wasn't sure if it was a pronounced accent from one of the endless UK dialects I don't know of, or just a mild influence from another European country). I think there was only one time I heard a German influence on a word you said that gave me a hint as to where you're from. I really love the sound (and sounds) of German so I loooved hearing you speak here. German has such neat consonant combination sounds. If I could wake up speaking any language in the world, it would be German and Korean (and Japanese!), so this video tied it all in. I'm happy you randomly mentioned Thai at the end because my family's from there. Even though I didn't grow up in Thailand it makes me feel warm and fuzzy just hearing BTS saying three words in Thai. ;P

Yeah, got the subtitles 😀... Long time since I have watched(listened) anything in German, it sounds better in your voice. And yeah.. Such an effort for the Army, learning memorizing some German (foreign language) words, frases, in the middle of all the work that goes into their concerts 💜
Very interesting video - which I’m not finished yet! South Africa has quite a lot of German-speaking people, in Durban, where I live, there is actually a German school, and by that, I mean a school where the language of instruction is German, and it is co-Ed and goes from grade R (last year of kindergarten) right up to grade 12”. There is also a German country club not too far from me, and I know quite a few people who are first or second generation German immigrants and are fluent…we also have a few German medical students coming here to do their internship, or to get some experience they would not get in Germany - we have a lot of violent crime, trauma, and exotic diseases, together with too many patients and not enough medical staff, so junior doctors and nurses are required to get experience fast so that they can do as much as possible - so foreign medical staff are exposed to things they would never see in Germany, or might only see once or twice in their career… I wrote all of that to basically explain that I know enough about German to just not even attempt to learn it - conversational German, just to “get by” is one thing (and yes I have attempted that), but high German is scary, the grammar is mad… I’m going to carry on watching now 😂🙏
Thanks for you long comment! We actually have distant relatives in South Africa and my mother went there on an internship when she was in medical school - like you said how a lot of people studying medicine do. How interesting! 💜
@@YouandMe14 wow!! That is really interesting, but, well, I was gonna say not surprising, but it actually is - I was referring to a small proportion of the German population in both instances, and your family represents both groups, medical students and immigrants 😂😂🤷♂️ I hope your mum enjoyed her time here 💜💜
I'm exhausted just for trying to write this, but it was entertaining to listen to some German especially since the topic was really interesting. Bye!
"Wie sagt man das denn auf Deutsch" 😅 if that isn't my daily struggle with Wortfindungsstörung, because my brain prefers to spew out English thoughts but my mouth actually has to articulate them in German 😅
Mal sehen wieviel ich ohne Untertitel da verstehe :) it's been over 10years that I learned Japanese. Jungkook managed to get the phrase intonation and flow nicely with his introduction, sounded very natural!
I heard english was from old german language(so I heard Deutsch is direct descendant of old german language) maybe this is why Deutsch is easy for RM. he can english like native I love germanic language family in the world. thats interesting for me (I'm korean. but koreanic language has only one similary language=japonic language by proto-japonic-koreanic language) + RM said 젊은이(germeuni=young people) is similary to germany yeah haha

Hiii you said that Namjoon has the best pronunciation in German and I think you’re right I am French and I think he has the best pronunciation in French too. I think some sounds are quite similar in French and in German (Sorry for my English I am a 16 year old subscriber from France 💜🇫🇷)
agree. Your Eng is fine. Hugs.
@@marinal. ohh thank you 💜

habe ewig darauf gewartet
The first time I saw hobi learning huge sentences in Portuguese I was shocked because his accent was so good, so much better than americans trying to speak portuguese actually, and now seeing it in German, wow, I've already tried to start learning German and it's so hard, I'm really impressed (btw I love german language, it's just soo good to listen)
Yeah, this was awesome, thank you 🙏
I feel like im in an alternate universe watching this.
There is also a German country club not too far from me, and I know quite a few people who are first or second generation German immigrants and are fluent…we also have a few German medical students coming here to do their internship, or to get some experience they would not get in Germany - we have a lot of violent crime, trauma, and exotic diseases, together with too many patients and not enough medical staff, so junior doctors and nurses are required to get experience fast so that they can do as much as possible - so foreign medical staff are exposed to things they would never see in Germany, or might only see once or twice in their career…
I wrote all of that to basically explain that I know enough about German to just not even attempt to learn it - conversational German, just to “get by” is one thing (and yes I have attempted that), but high German is scary, the grammar is mad…
I’m going to carry on watching now 😂🙏
Thanks for you long comment! We actually have distant relatives in South Africa and my mother went there on an internship when she was in medical school - like you said how a lot of people studying medicine do. How interesting! 💜
@@YouandMe14 wow!! That is really interesting, but, well, I was gonna say not surprising, but it actually is - I was referring to a small proportion of the German population in both instances, and your family represents both groups, medical students and immigrants 😂😂🤷♂️
I hope your mum enjoyed her time here 💜💜
I really wonder how many languages do you speak and how did you learn them because from what Ive seen you can speak a lot of languages🤗🤗
Last RM said : 젊은이(young man) is pronounced very similarly to Germany.
I'm exhausted just for trying to write this, but it was entertaining to listen to some German especially since the topic was really interesting. Bye!
first sis love ur reaction
"Wie sagt man das denn auf Deutsch" 😅 if that isn't my daily struggle with Wortfindungsstörung, because my brain prefers to spew out English thoughts but my mouth actually has to articulate them in German 😅
really thought that i was the only one who had that problem 😂😂👍
Iam learning german too
I love languiges
Ich leibe dich BTS
I enjoy it.
sehr interessant dich mal deutsch sprechen zu hören haha
Anyone know which company Jin’s dad actually works for?
I think he owns the company rather than working there as employee
Jin comes from a very wealthy family. His Dad is a businessman and owns a massive company.
@@ayushj6216 which one though?
I am from Indonesia, I don't understand what you saying but I still like
There are subtitles
Mal sehen wieviel ich ohne Untertitel da verstehe :) it's been over 10years that I learned Japanese.
Jungkook managed to get the phrase intonation and flow nicely with his introduction, sounded very natural!
I heard english was from old german language(so I heard Deutsch is direct descendant of old german language)
maybe this is why Deutsch is easy for RM. he can english like native
I love germanic language family in the world. thats interesting for me (I'm korean. but koreanic language has only one similary language=japonic language by proto-japonic-koreanic language)
+ RM said 젊은이(germeuni=young people) is similary to germany yeah haha
i am Indian germany lol
Please react to their live performance (concert) of mikrokosmos it was really amazing and magical 💜💜💜
Yeah~~~~~I am first!
Please react to ugh! By bts rap line. Hope you like that!😀
Please react to V singularity stage mix
Kanns du bitte auf "jimin being baby mochi" Oder "jimin is bts' f avorit cute baby" reagieren 😂💜
Is there no german word for "sounds" ? and "storyline"
There are german words for it, but it's not uncommon to throw in an english word that you prefer.
Hope you release enlish subs for this vid 😆
its there
@@nethu6577 only shows Deustch in mine
edit: omg just turned it on and its actually English 😵💫
I don't find subtitles on English
Even though it says they're German if you switch them on you'll find that they actually are English
@@YouandMe14 O, thanks
