it really just depends on what kind of sound your looking to get out of your Z. This is a dual exhaust so it sounds much more throaty and deep, in short if your looking for something a bit more than stock I would recommend the Tanabe Medallion catback. :)
yes, I bought mine on ebay complete catback (H pipe, Mid Pipe, and two resonated canisters, for 350 plus free shipping. As far as sound goes it is a lot deeper than stock and has a slight (gargle) when rpms lower, not loud enough to get pulled over unless your flooring it.
I have the 07 HR as well, I did not have to do any modification what so ever, the slightest thing that was off was tip fitting and all I did was reverse the rubber garmet by the canisters.
other than that it is actually better than i expected and it will sound better when it breaks it in and you can tell that you have more top end power and better response

@xnovacanex ya that was really the only thing I didn't like about this exhaust setup was the tips. As far as CAI goes I have the Fujita twin short ram intakes and I love em ;)
Did you have to modify it to fit the HR motor? I just bought an 07 350z and every one I see says it doesn't fit the HR motor. I didn't realize there would be a difference in the exhausts.
hey I just bought an 07 350z it came with this exact exhaust on it, the tips it has, I was wondering if they are replaceable, because just the metal tip itself at the edge is starting to look like it's rusty like rough and bubbly, wanted to know if u could buy them for cheap? no I don't mean the whole muffler can either, just the tip, also if there was a specific CAI that made any significant gains, and comes with dividers to keep the hot air away from the filters?

Can you order only the catback? All the ones I see on ebay are the whole exhaust line with either its own cats or test pipes. And is it a bit louder than the original with only the catback or its f*cking loud? I don't wanna get pulled over every 5 minutes lol.
In this video it is just the Catback, Stock headers and Cats. They are all the same exhaust only difference you might have is the exhaust tips that come with the exhaust, other than that and the price they are all the same.
I put this exhaust on my 350z and it doesn't sound anything like this... it honestly sounds like an old chevy lumina with an exhaust leak.. I am curious to see if anyone knows why my exhaust sounds so bad.

make sure you dont let that tip touches any salt in winter time... it will rust and make it look like shit! mine did. make sure to rinse it with water
