Can’t believe people just… haven’t been commenting for six months but. The talent! He has an entire stage area with absolutely no frills, no choreography, his entire aesthetic is just creating sound waves so beautiful they’ll make you cry.
I used to listen to this long a ton when I was in love with this girl. It never worked out and it took everything in me to get over and recover from it. Listening to this song just reminded me of all the good that came from it.

I'm in MIlan right know. An hour ago there was a little thunderstorme so it's still raining a bit. I waited so long for this trip to happen and I'm so happy to finally be here. I just went out on the terrace of the hotel room, put my headphones on and listened to this. It was so incredibly peaceful and beautiful. One moment in life were everything was just perfect.

Just wanted to leave a comment and say this was beautiful. Self control is my favorite song from Frank Ocean and I would listen to it over and over because the whole song was an experience. Eventually I got used to it and the experience kind of faded away, this edit brought the experience back and made me enjoy one of my favorite songs for the first time again. Thank you!

i’ve lost both of my parents when i was younger. my mom abused me and dropped me off at school when i was 5 and i never saw her again because she never picked me up. she locked me in a room alone for 2 days when i was 4. i lost my dad my best friend when i was in first grade and my life has been different since. i found out my mom died in 4th grade 6 months after she actually died. now i have to live with my grandparents who tell me i’m a dissapointment atleast once a week and i know i’m gonna have to go through losing them too. then i got with this one girl who controlled me broke me even more cheated on me and told me i’m a burden and useless. then i found a new girl who treated me so good and finally made me happy and forget about my problems until she blocked me last night. frank has been with me through it all and i can’t thank him enough for his music and how much it truly helps me. especially this song self control. thank you frank
