- This tutorial explains how to remove unused CSS and Js files from WordPress website using Asset cleanup plugin. This will improve google page speed scores and solve the error provided by google page speed insight tool to remove unused CSS and js.
⚡⚡OPTIMIZE WEBSITE WITH 1 CLICK - • How to Speed Up WordPr...
Please take backup before performing any major changes on your website and using ASSET CLEANUP | Remove Unused CSS & JS (Improve website speed) tutorial.
Step 1) Install plugin ‘Asset Cleanup Page speed booster’. Click on install now and once installed click activate.
Step 2) Now edit the page from where you want to remove unused js and CSS files. For example Edit Home page of your website.
Step 3) Scroll the page you’ll find this option asset cleanup section here and here you can see all the JavaScript and css files which are loading on the page will be displayed
Step 4) Now if you scroll the page you will see individual js and CSS files. This will take some logic now to identify which CSS and js are not used. but it is simple I promise. Identify the unused CSS and js as explained in the video. Example, a CSS file named social-profile.css Now as the name says it is used to add CSS for social profiles on my home page, but I am not using any social profile on my home page so this CSS is not being used on my home page, I can safely unlod this file using the ‘Unload on this page option’;
Step 5) Remove unused CSS files sitewide but keep on specific pages.
First Unload Site wide ‘everywhere’ for all contact for 7 CSS and js file
Second Make an exception from any unload rule & always load it
Using options with your main Optimization plugin : So you need to uncheck the js and CSS optimization options from the main plugin for speed optimization, because if you will keep both plugins to optimize same things like JS and CSS then it will be a more complex operation and it can even break your web.site.

Hi, in the video you said you will show manual way to optimise website, but i dont see any link to the video in the description. Did you by any chance already have the video? Thanks for this quick tutorial, tried doing it, it did help a little but not much, i have a 1-page website, and have disabled things that i dont want to load, but appearently, i need them back, how can i make it so that required js would load after the website is interactable? I have a form set up on Divi, but it opens only after the user clicks on form button. But it is still loaded together with the website. Would there be possibility to do that?

Regarding your 1 pages website - I cannot say what is breaking without looking at your website. Try using autoptimize and wpfastest cache plugin . I posted a recent video on LCP which will really help you in that case!

I used PageSpeed Insights and it gave me a list of CSS and JavaScript files that are being unused. How can I find specific JavaSripts to unload on my WordPress website? I tried to look at the source but it does not show me the same info as PageSpeed Insights
hey, Well that's is what I explained in this video. when you have the list from the google you can use asset cleanup plugin and when you go to settings in individual pages you can find those files an upload them on the page or globally. Take care while doing that as if you unload a file on the page it is required , it might break the design or functioning.
Create a stage website and do the experiments and once you are satisfied then apply them to live website. Good Luck!

I mean i won't keep it permanently activate on website because already you have mentioned more plugin will affect website speed.
So i will activate it only when i want to take some action and remaining time it should be always deactivate state.

hello, So not all the plugins you can deactivate. asset cleanup needs to stay activated on the site to optimize files. yes do not use many plugins, but if you have good hosting plan these kind of backend plugins like backup , database cleanup, security improve the website management. Don't worry about using plugins, but don't collect them for very small thing like just to add facebook pexel or to add share icons, that is totally unnecessary, but if they are useful, feel free to keep them active. You can use both the plugins, but don't use it without a solid reason. This will make things very complicated and might break your website. If your are tech skills are advance and you can troubleshoot and fix the issues then go for it.
I have followed your video but unfortunately i ended up in a situation. I lost the important css files, and now my website view is messed up. Is there any option or method to undo css files? It will be of great help for me.
hello Dear, Files are not lost anywhere they are managed differently. Just deactivate the plugin and all files will load normally. If this doesn't work for you then follow another method as I have so many videos on speed improvement on my channel!

Hi Dear, There is only one reason for that, you are using a page builder. Go to default mode and you will see all the Asset cleanup options to optimize the resources.

Hello, if you need to keep the optimization you need this plugin activated. What else plugin you are using.. Send me a list and i can tell you which one are safe to remove. Also if you want to keep all the plugins and still want to have a fast website.. Watch the redis cache video i create recently. Redis improves the speed for backend and highly dynamic content sites.

Okay so w# total cache is good plugins but not the best go get the prefect pagespeed scores.I created a video on litespeed cache plugin which is the best for scores. however that is a advance plugin that might need tuning so take your website's backup before. Hello There, So i think the options I covered they are best to use with other caching plugins. And i do not recommend for now to use other options other than the remove usused css and js from pages. Hello, I would love to help you out. The best thing will be to use litespeed cache plugin. However third party scripts are always tricky, try to local load some of the scripts which doesn't change. Also try using cloudflare , that will certainly improve your website speed.

Also it is so sensitive it can break websites.
after watching your lite speed cashe plugin video, i was do this. and my site is broke very badly.
open your site at private window the change option and refresh website at private window. If not broke you then i will flow your tutorial otherwise i will ignore you'r's video.

Hey Bro, Okay so if you are using a good hosting then you should have a good server response time, if you still see the issue with server response time it means that there are some blocking scripts or some error on the site happening. Also check if you are using a cache plugin or not. Did you tried my lite speed tutorial?
