Never get mineral oil, parrafin, grease, petrol etc in your brake fluid. Here's why.

    Very important topic that deserves an own video! Thanks!
    Until your previous videos I had never seen red grease. There's another product in my area that is not colored, but also specially for brake calipers (ATE brake cylinder paste). Maybe a regional thing.

      it's just another product. If it is synthetic rubber grease for brake assemblies its okay to use on the seals.

    I have seen brake piston seals swollen, didn't know why, thank you I do now, btw this was on a motorcycle!

    Only use brake fluid, rubber grease or your old pants! 3-4 years on fluid changes are good to keep your nipples lose too, nothing worse than ditching a good caliper because you cant extract a broken nipple. Nice series of videos, keep up the good work!

    Not long ago Ive smeared some copper slip on motorcycle brake pistons just to help them go in more easy. Guess I should check them out soon. Thanks for the heads up !!

    Ha, bikes with hydraulic brakes use mineral oil day in day out. Hell, you could use baby oil as well.

      They also use different seals that are mineral oil safe. If you put dot fluid in they would fail and then leak.
