Thanks for the overview - I've played a few games with the 5e so far, and I'm *really* enjoying the high mobility-low armor concept behind French tanks. Especially with the recent update that allows vehicles to "smoke up" with a single hotkey, it's a ton of fun to ambush an enemy column with high-accuracy, high-power guns, smoke, quickly reposition and re-engage from the flanks or rear. Also note that the Kangarou logistics heli seems to be bugged, in that it's the only logistical helicopter in the game with "Good" optics. Obviously it's something that needs to be fixed, but currently it can act as a tertiary recon unit once its supply is used up. ;)
I love the French infantry and the IFVs they come with. I wish we got an infantry division like the RD motorized for them rather than the armour division. Mods or DLC though.
Looking forward to seeing this division in action, a lot of very interesting units and I'm especially looking forward to seeing the tanks in action. Also interesting how this Div only has 3 different pieces of Arty but 4 slots of 1 Cost and a 2 Cost for them. Mortar spam with a few SPG's is going to be an interesting complement to the rest of the land forces. Edit: That AMX Recovery tank looks absurd, I'm really hoping it's decent ingame since it reminds me of a Box Turtle lol
Great video. The only gripe I have with the french army is the paper thin tanks compared to the russian ones. I hope they will do a euro division like in wargame French / Germans.
It's the colonial warfare style. It's a weakness, but that can be balanced with the loads of ATGMs you get in infantry, Vab mephistos and P4 HOT, as well as Gazelles and the Jaguar. Those allow you to deal with enemy heavy armor without having some yourself
I think it is to balance the sheer amount of good ATGM the French get compare to say the US. In Wargame Red Dragon, the French and Eurocorp was more OP than the US. Not only they matched the US in almost all category, their infantry outclassed the US.
huh.. why is Roland 2 marked as B type unit and Roland 3 as D type ? The Roland 3 seems to be overall better in everything, bug ? interesting divisions in this patch, thats for sure
Devs mentioned that the "grades" that all units gets have been more or less arbitrary, and they'll be much better organized (and make more sense) in a future update.
Nice to see all the Milan ATGMS about, fascinating that they managed to develop a shaped charge that detonates to form a thin sheet of chocolate between two crisp cookies as the penetrator...
They should slash the R530 off the Mirage III to make it a nice cheap option to either hunt helicopters or finish off aeroplanes, as it is I don't see why you'd pick it over the F1C. Also, always funny to see Eugen stats : R530 at this point in time is basically a relic (it is over 30 years old), and yet has a bit more range over S530F, even though the main IRL advantage of the Super was that it nearly doubled the range of french interception missiles - not that 160m is gonna change much in an A2A engagement. Also, cannot fathom why they call M621 a 30mm.
Hmmm... It would be nice if they ad capability to pair planes. They would cost of course x2 but you could launch pair of fighters instead single machine.
@@Galvars You can select them in a control group, deploy them at the same time, and direct them to attack the same target if you want them to "operate as a pair".

5:25 upgraded ww2 french weapons, you can't go wrong with it in a modern war, mon amis 😂
I used to drive the p4, you could get up to 90km going down hill, but it would shake like a shuttle coming in for re-entry lol

this game in details is so beautiful and the units is very polished! Really looking forward to the full release!
AMX-30EBG means "engin blindé du genie" (armored engineer vehicle)
When you said winter camo for the AMX-10 PC, I realized that Eugen hasn't made a winter map yet. That would be interesting 🤔
Groupe antichar: Antitank group. Very interesting unit.
i hope the amx30s have that 20mm working normally with out needing to micro it like in wargame
Plot twist, it does !
I love your content man !
is warno or regiments a better buy?
WARNO imo, it’s a lot more free form to me. feels like you can just do more in it

where is the ceasar artillery? where is the leclerc tank?
Huh the person who always asks for hist. acc in SD2 asking to throw it out of the window here? Lul
The game is set in germany 1989. Leclerc and caesar where not produced at this time

ya I noticed that as well

LRAC F1 isn't 66 mm

Those cookies are called "milanos", not "Milans". ;)

Well, you can already do that manually.
@@junibug6790 Launch them as a pair and they operate as pair?

Your french pronunciation is not that bad tbh
Awh no Leclerc

You made my ears bleed, thanks.
Looking forward to see how they behave in game
