So a few people noticed Jack's scarf.... It's the Starship Tankwall Neck Gaiter (made from an actual photo of a Starship)! shop.nasaspaceflight.com/products/starship-tankwall-neck-gaiter
I noticed it right off, made me think he was endorsing something else
@@jefferycaples6041 me too. Good to know it wasn't that.
@@1947662 It's not that. It's a product sold by their store.
Thanks for the posting and the website to corroborate .
@@1947662 Me too. Utterly disgusting. And these clowns also seem to think their audience is stupid.
NEVER let them fade out details on Sky Crane - that's an amazing machine! We see them here in Chicagoland a lot too! LET JACK GEEK OUT from time to time LOL!
I've used it before
That was both hilarious and great editing. Kept it up over there. You all are doing such great work on the content!
Thank you, very funny.... NOW TELL ME MORE ABOUT THE SKY CRANE 😂❤
We all just enjoy our "Jack and his antics". Starbase would be boring without his sense of humor. Keep it up Jack!!!
I would like to know more about sky crane.
Thanks Dan!
به از این باش با دَن !
Thanks Dan!
First:
The helicopter info piqued my inner nerd.
Second:
I think a video that summarizes the entire Starship program from inception until now would be awesome.
NSF has done a few videos that were like that actually. But of course, they probably only do one per year, so if the video came out 6 months ago, then it's going to be really outdated by now. The pace of work is just crazy!
Vietnam feels intensify.
@@ericacidtreat101 maybe talk to the people who run thevideo picking algorythms for youtube so they ofthen will pick the videos thar explain the history of space-x nasa or an nsf itself for new suscribers.
Thanks Dan 😂🍻.
And thanks Jack and the NSF team for another excellent update.
Thanks Dan. {S h o v e } 😅
Thanks Dan! Always love Jacks updates and energy
yes, i did want to hear all about Sky Crane, love that machine, the fade to black hurt...
I've mentioned before, but i wish you had the timestamp in a corner for ever slice of video, this is for the history books, people will go back and analyze this stuff one day.
edit: Thanks Dan!
Those sky cranes are wild. Used to work with them stacking towers. Problem is that if you’re sitting at the top of the tower and they fly you up something, as soon as you touch the tag line on the load you ground yourself to the helicopter, which generates a massive amount of static from the blades whipping through the air as it flies. It’s quite a jolt.
You’ve tried using a lineman’s pole to drag that line over to the building’s steel frame and let it dissipate there?
i want to hear more about the Skycrane!
Yeah, full video of skycrane with lift and placement video. I saw one lift a big A/C unit on top of a high rise in KC in the 70s. It was a really big deal.
Me too !!!
Great video, thank you Jack for your multi hour recording sacrifice! You're a hero amongst mortals sir!
Thanks Dan! And a great update from Jack and the rest of the NSF team, as always - this week in particular seemed to have so much to cover.
As a former flight crew on Sikorsky H-3 I loved hearing about the helicopter
Always such great content. Jack's delivery, the scripting, editing and everything make this easily my favorite NSF production (they're all good). I loved the humor both with the skycrane and with Dan. BTW, Thanks Dan! P.S. Thanks Chris & the entire crew for such informative stuff.
And the humor with Starhopper.
A big shout-out to those spmt's and all the hard work they do. They are the unsung hero's at Space X
That chopper was AWESOME!!
I, for one, have been subscribed to this channel for years solely for any mentions of Sikorsky Sky Crane helicopters.
What we need is MORE "Sky Crane."
Sky crane is a seriously cool piece of equipment that I would geek out over too!
Absolutely, would like to see a segment clearly illustrating the differences between the different types of engine tests. Guaranteed you’ll be able to refer back to it for a long time. -Dave Huntsman
Thanks, Dan! Oh, and that sky crane is very cool 😁
I think one of the best updates ever. JACK is amazing and the writers and jack added some humor here and there, and we can not forget Dan. Be excellent to each other. Lol. Awesome update NSF team. You all work so very hard.
Jack's videos are most excellent! THANKS DAN!!😊
Great Starbase Update Jack, Thank you!

Thanks Dan!!
Thx Dan! Best guess for next launch date ... 4th July anyone??
3:12 I don’t know why seeing this hardware going for a stroll just cracked me up😂
I see what you mean...LOL! I'll give it some of my thought and comment.
Ready for fly 4!
People ask why there is such a monstrously sized torque gauge in a skycrane,, that's so you can see it while everything is shaking at maximum torque
that skycrane thing is crazy and i always love jacks updates puts me in a good mood
Great video as always
Hello Dan, nice to meet you!
thank you Jack, Sean, Mary and the NSF team for sharing such wonderful updates with us. IFT is definitely in June .
That’s one crane it’s called a double box girder. Build them all day! Love it! Company I work for has built many of their stairs, even some of the ones at Massey’s ……like the set that’s going up to the Pathfinder nosecone! I love it!
THANKS DAN!
Thanks Dan! 😆
thanks Jack and Dan! I love these updates that provide a ton of information on what's going on at Starbase. I cant wait for the next launch and see how many more milestones they achieve.
Thank you, Dan. As always so much great information Jack.
Thanks Dan!! And YES!! I want to hear all about the helicopter. All things Aviation and Space ALL the time!! ❤️🔥💯🙌🎊✨
I want a primer on the various test campaigns.
Also, maybe a video of maps which go through what each thing on them is. Having some good introductory, systematic material would be helpful.
Thanks Dan! (and the rest of the NSF Team for making great content for us space nerds)
Thanks Dan!
And thanks Jack and the great NSF team with these awesome videos. Highlight of my week

Awesome update team. With Mother's Day landing in the thick of all this activity you all nailed it.
Thanks Jacques and Dan ❕
Thanks Dan ! and Thanks Jack for making these updates entertaining, beyond just the reading of an excellent script.
14:40 I am so happy to hear that!! This means that starship can be more environmentally friendly and also more CO2 Neutral. In a world where rapid climate change is causing more and more damage due to a rise in CO2 and methane emissions, having such sequestrating systems is very important. Especially when starship will be rapidly reused.
Thanks Dan, and Jack.
thnaks dan!
Thanks jack and dan.
Thanks Dan!!! Also.....,.. I def wanted to hear and see more info on that helicopter!! That thing looks bad ass...
I did enjoy the helicopter stats, thanks for including them!
