The current owners did not go down that route but properties like this are rented in the area so it is definitely an option. When you say ‘rent out partially’ do you mean live there and rent out a part of the property. If that is the case, I suppose you would be ably to rent out one room as a B&B but you would then need to share the rest of the house as there is only one kitchen and one bathroom.
