I’m 40 and when Rooney came through at 16 was by far the most excited I’ve been as an Evertonian
well done lads! So i'm born and brought up in London, but supported Everton since i was about 6-7 - my best mate used to say his dad played for Everton (his surname was Latchford to be fair!!!). Stuck with them growing up, go to a few games every season
These podcasts are boss lads. Keep them coming.
My first game was 8 0 1971 ball,johnson 4 royal 3
Hi everyone , another great interview guys ! Your interviews are very natural and Baz it was great hearing your background and so cool that you made time for such a good interview . Keep up the good work guys !
My first home game was home to Arsenal 85. Comfortable 2-0 home victory helping us on our way to the division one title.
Top Class.
Great show lads.. very entertaining
Great interview lads, always been impressed with Baz and great to hear his story.
I have was there in early 80s , played Southampton , Shilton was in goal for them the crowds was 9.000 .
Love toffee TV, great to see how much they’ve come along
Proper evertonian lad
Absolutely brilliant that lads, took a few months to get to watch, better late than never 👍
Baz is a top lad
Top fella
Thanks mate 💙
Just before baz said cigar smoke that came into my head, oh god yeah those smells, happy memories, my first game was 1976,. coyb utft
Wish we could go back and see what it was like 🔵
78-79 season my 1st. I remember them stories Baz says!!
Great episode lads! I deffo watch Peds videos first followed by Baz lol I was also one of the people that bumped into Baz in Florida but outside a shop, not the toilets.
Boss mate 🔵
I agree Baz, Rooney was never the player he was when he left Everton, they trained all his greatest attributes out of him, he was still world class and up there with the all time greats, but you said it perfectly. He used to have so much energy, he had everything, touch, power, strength, dummies, acceleration, pace. He could run past every player on the pitch. He had it all. The only player I can compare him to who I have seen live, and seen in my lifetime is the Brazilian Ronaldo. They would have been the greatest partnership ever.
VAR - its not the technology at front... its the quality of those inspecting
Great stuff lads baz is just a natural presenter brill listening to him and ped yeah good cop bad cop toffee tv
Ha thank you Chris :)
Brilliant this lads x
My first game was everton v Northampton Town, crazy but true
Great podcast
Barry a real warrior who got out of social services and now is a great presenter of Toffee Tv. If he had not broken his leg what would have happened in his life
Excellent vid lads and another great guest. Keep up with the brill work.
Thanks mate 👍

Boss 💙
Really enjoyed this. Thanks lads
Thanks so much
Boss video that lads👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I watch peds vids 1st and then bazs aswell 😂😂
Thanks Steven :)
Great video, you could see there was a good vibe between you all. I've got a lot of respect for Baz, I like his match analysis and the three talking points, he makes a lot of sense. And kudos for his many years working in social services. The bastard tory governments purposely destroy the fabric of society by under funding social services, health, housing etc and make life so very hard for so many people. I remember Liverpool in the time of Thatcher, Boys from the Blackstuff etc, it was difficult to make a living in the city then but I was much younger and your mates get you through and Liverpool as a city has so much pride and amazingly Everton starting winning everything from 1984, bloody great memories. My first game at Goodison Park was 1962, so I'm a bit older than you guys!!! Cheers.
Thanks mate, appreciate that, 1962 ay madness
Thank you John. Yes the Government has continuously made it difficult for the north and the cuts have made so many people’s lives and jobs so difficult. Thanks for the comment 👍🏻
I honestly don't know how u do It , full respect , I couldn't do it Wen we loose 👏👏👏👏
It can be tough ! Ha nice one mate 💙👍🏻
Great interview 👍
Thanks a lot 🔵
Very interesting
Get Ned on boys
If the people want it!
Fat Larrys Band.- Radio Goodison.
Boncho Genchev is my random premier League footballer
Speaking of that Madrid game, i remember walking out of NBHD fezzy with a load of mancs and god knows what else buzzin aba the shite getting beat. Warra day 😂
One of the best 😂
Since 1995 🎉
Baz 🔵🔵👏
Ha thanks mate 👍🏻
47 and first game I remember is Sunderland at goodison beat them 4-1 trever Steven cracker it was the start of the belief we could win the league, reason we are getting full attendance is new stadium people want season ticket guaranteed
What a first game !!!
@@ToffeeTVEFC I'll always remember it the Steven goal stuck in my head cut in from the right smashed it into the park end net , remember sitting on the bars in street end with my dad and his mates standing behind us I'd be sitting on the bars with my best mate who no longer with us anymore, remember grey scoring a diving header into street end ,great memories I was only 10 years old,we was 1-0 down after 2mins , and if I remember rightly Sunderland went 2-0 ahead but it was ruled off side
@@colinmumford267 I remember Ian Wallace put them 1-0 up and I said to my Dad "this will make us play better" and we did !! haha
@@ToffeeTVEFC 😂 is right ,was mad but remember my dad and his mates started to believe we could win the league for first time since 69/70
Kids nowadays don't realise that our generation all played football as we didn't have anything else.
Lost my last man standing pool on the Chelsea match.
Neville did score an own goal we were winning 2-0 Fernandes scored that belter then Rooney, Neville own goal and Eagles scored for United😖😖 Sure they clinched the title that day
Hahaha I knew I was right 😂
Zoom was Fat Larrys Band lar
Yeah mate 👌🏻💙
That's about right regarding neville he will best be remembered for that wild tackle on Ronaldo, certainly not for his ability,he was shite.l was at Wembley for the Chelsea final and was actually embarrassed for our great captain that day Lampard schooled him,the only consolation losing that day was not having to see that idiot holding the cup in pictures for evermore.
Good lad and proper fan but I guess like most of us blues from back in the day, can be deluded lol
Hahah we have to be to keep the faith :)
@@ToffeeTVEFC thanks for your work. I really hope we have turned the corner even though we're miles off as it stands. Good structure and players now, nice mixture of experience and talent but main thing is more leaders especially with Gana and 2 solid cbs. I'm optimistic we'll push on but like you say hope can kill ya. Coyb!

Peter Beardsley, is in top 5 best prem players we have had ,that Ipswich game I think we lost 3-0 Monday after I got my Everton tattoo ,Billy Kenny was very similar when he broke through, what about that Brazilian in his red jacket, Muller was his name was all agreed was at goodison,Everton agreed to pay him 10k a week before tax but Muller said he agreed to 10k after tax and deal collapsed Peter Johnson and Mike walker 🤦
Everton that 😂
@@TheTenthPintPodcast was the days nearly every transfer collapsed , remember the reason Gary speed wanted out of Everton something to do with his pie not been warm on the coach God rest his soul don't know how true that is but it was a silly reason
Speed actually wrote a letter begging Everton to re sign him from Newc not long after he signed for them...So that excuse about the pie is shite..
@@pmacca4830 and you actually know this as a fact he begged to come back ,looked happy at Newcastle to me l, I actually said how true it is I don't know ,but funny how rumours spread
So you never watched Baz an Ped talk about that on their show?...1st few months after it was.....Speed also grew up as a boyhood blue so i can imagine that to be more true than eating a cold pie...Funny how rumours spread isn't it..
Dad
Hahah My Man :)
Barry scored a hat trick and not wanted Many scouts and managers do not have any idea Barry you had skill and just unfortunate
Barry Audi cars are poor Toyota or Honda are the cars to get
Rooney never was that magic player when he went to united He became a work horse for Ronaldo. Rooney could have been better than Messi
Dithering Dave Moyes was never good as man management He proved that at United Rooney did sacrifice his game Barry you are right also he had no respect for Zidane Rooney was the best
