He delivered that “Those children are dead” line so seriously like he was in a thriller

"Oh? Why? Because he's an emotionally erratic billionaire with the temperament of one of those kids in Willy Wonka that get murdered at the chocolate factory?"
...that really is the guy's whole deal in one sentence, isn't it?

I am with Higgins on that one - those Children ARE dead.

Higgins has to be one of the best tertiary characters in the history of television.

Their journey as friends & colleagues is yet ANOTHER example of this series' commitment to amazing, heartfelt, character driven storytelling.

The Tim Burton version added the scene of the kids leaving for a reason 😂

The scene was in the book too, although there were slight differences. Veruca and Violet leave as described with the former covered in garbage and the latter restored to her original shape with her skin permanently blue; Augustus leaves with the pipe having made him skinny (and his clothes now loose and baggy), and Mike is now stretched to noodly proportions and 10ft tall (and prescribed a special vitamin Wonka created to help fill him out later on).

They're alive in the book, but in the Gene Wilder version... yeah, they are dead.

He's probably seen both versions of the movie multiple times and came to that conclusion.

I mean, after what the Cisco Kid went through, are we surprised?

Nope, the movie remarks that "they are all fine" during the ending.

Reminds of the scene in Season 2 where Keeley goes to Higgins for advice and after running through the same list he responds “just glad to be on the list”

My neighbors could hear me laughing at this- so brilliant! I would beg for a spinoff with any character combo from this show. Please?!

His advice about what to do if people start disappearing one by one is the kind of grounded , applicable advice Id hope my friends would give me

Higgins asking if she spoke with her mom was the best part 😅

Jaysus that was hilarious. Sucking on the tie was like the perfect cap.
Also, how are these beautiful and talented people not getting recognized in the US back in like 2005??

I used to do that when I spilled some monster on my tie at work and everyone acted like it was the weirdest thing ever and just feel vindication knowing Higgins has the same dumb things pop in his brain as me

“If any of the other people start disappearing 1 by 1 due to a series of unfortunate accidents seemingly caused by their own hubris, You get the hell out of there, do you hear me?” One of my favorite lines from him in the whole show

Just saw the new Wonka trailer, and just had to make a return journey to the best line on Willy Wonka ever delivered.

Guess this means there is more to Ted Lasso than just the dart scene. May have to look for it.
