Buddhism spread during Kushan and parthian periods in 4th century. Buddhist missionaries converted some of the people but majority followed their own religions of Shamanism, Tengrism and Zoroastrianism as they are majority nomads. Islam spread there in 7th and 8th century after the conquest UNDER Rashidun caliphates. Afterwards, Suffis came to the area from former persia and to this day Turkmen society is ingrained with suffi practices

The white looking vegetable is not reddish but it's called Sugar Beet, it's used to make sugar. Because the countries who can't grow sugarcane plants they have to grow this root vegetable which is converted to sugar, in Europe and the UK also.
