This is pure sculptured sound that transcends any great alaps I've ever heard played in Marwa. I marvelled at how one note anticipates and foreshadows the next note before fully merging into it. Speed is something unheard of in this realm of music. I wonder what Amir Khan, the khyal Maestro of Marwa would have to say to this.
Marwa = 'Death', or 'Mara,' The mode is ancient, and from the buddhist period of Dhrupad/North Indian Baroque. It is the buddha in discourse with Mara. Jor, a walking meditation... So lovely.

One of the badishes is Piya more anant desh gayilva depicting pain now it is upto the listener how much to connect
