Thank you sir.
Was wondering why Audi weren’t offering some sort of good will gesture towards the repair as an engine shouldn’t require replacement at 47k, thrn you said he had a tuning box on it. Doh! !!!!!
They offer them fantastic price for new engine + fitting 😂
if you think a tuning box fucked this engine up you must be dense as hell lol
@@VuBeClan ?
@@VuBeClan I never made any suggestion as to what caused the problem
@@VuBeClan that wasn’t the issue
Typical dealer diagnostics, 'needs the most expensive repair we can think of'. Even a trainee could see that didn't need a new engine just by looking at the oil and doing a compression test, also the fact it wasn't even trying to fire pointed to sensors or the ECU. Good methodical diagnostics here finding actual problem quickly and more importantly for the owner cheaply.
Which tuning company did he use?
Funny thing that rocker arm wouldn’t prevent the non start it’s only the fact it damaged the camshaft pickup wheel that caused it not to start otherwise should of just had a misfire. Cause and effect what a nightmare
Same problem in my s5, it was tuned with jb4 and now i have same issues
Shit sorry to hear..you have e an update?
Guys check the water cooler that cools charge air …. It’s licking with coolant
Already here 😁👊
For this engine what is the piston need to be a TDC ??
Its the sensor plate of the camshaft sensor!!!
How ???
What hand held PC are you using in this video to run your VCDS? I like that, way better than dragging out my laptop.
Why are the 2.9s now so complicated to repair? The 3.0TFSI was a breeze compared to this. My A6 c6 with the 3.2 is super simple to work on!
They not that bad , it’s just a “new” concept have to get use it like any other new engine 😉
I want to know more about the MKI Scirocco in the background :)
One day … one day …
I have an Audi RS3. I was driving it and randomly got a car system malfunction error. I shut the car off and it wouldnt start back up. Long story short Audi told me the cam shaft exhaust isn't spinning and I need a new engine. The car only has 29k miles on it! One Audi dealership quoted me $33k then I got a second quote at a different Audi dealership for $17k. I have no faith in Audi anymore.
Good job... I think that engine skipped timing somehow
V6 or VR6? 2.9 i think was in US version of VW Golf 3 Synchro 194HP
does this car have an aftermarket exhaust? sounds really loud
