They seem to have forgotten that 90% of the fight is just raiden spamming perfect block
I have played the MGR Sam fight about 10 times by now, can tell you that this is true
They didn't forget. It's just that this is a PVP arena game.
10% of the fight is just dealing good damage to sam, the 50% hit-run and blocking his attacks, the other 10% is realizing you can knock the blade out of his hands and then promptly get fed grass, and then the 25% is put into hit n' run again, and the final 5% is trying to finish him off in a really cool way then doing the true finisher.
@@endislayerb9850 then you play revengeance difficulty and realize you can beat every boss with like 2 perfect blocks
I've played through MGR once and a half, and I'll be honest, I don't parry too often, it's very unreliable for some reason

When you buy Metal Gear Rising from the shady guy in the alley way.
Actually this is pretty cool but there's a small issue I found. In the Jetstream sam battle, when he loses his sword the lyrics go away. This is such a small detail that it doesn't really matter but I just wanted to point that out.
when raiden loses the murasama in the fight against armstrong, the lyrics also go away. must be something with the sword specifically

@@KichiJc fyi, you can spawn dummies too. This might not seem that special, but you can HEAVILY customize them. Make them bosses, set certain health, weapons, and also set them to different teams or hostile. But most importantly, you can make them look like a player. Also give them custom names. Im pretty sure all this and how to do it is on the discord but if its not you can prob search it up and find it.

You forgot one detail, when Sam loses his sword and attacks bare handed, the song goes into only music without lyrics, that would have been cool to add to the fight when he fights with his fists at 5:13

Fun Fact: the reason why music loses its lyrics when sam goes bare handed is because without he sword he loses his only thing left of him his "reason to fight". Also i agree it would be cool

No, the lyrics only play when he has his sword, it goes to instrumental when he loses his sword
I meant it the other way around then mb, using instrumental would be cool
the instrumental activates when he loses his sword because he doesn't take you seriously - otherwise he'd go pick up his sword. and boss themes usually only have lyrics when they actually start taking you seriously (i.e. the end of the fight). it's why sam's theme doesn't have lyrics at the start of the game on the train - he isn't taking you seriously. thus, by him deciding to fight you, someone who wields a sword, without a weapon, he isn't taking you seriously. and that's why it stops having lyrics.
@@andreigas could be the truth but i think the real reason he doesnt pick up his "VH7 HIGH FREQUENCY BLADE." and the lyrics fade wil most likely be unknown for a while

thats what separates a well written villain from a poorly written one - when you still want to defeat them, but you feel bad for or empathise with them, see things from their point of view

Y'know the odd thing I see about this? I noticed this in AUT, but Raiden's weapon is similar to Mistsplitter Reforged, similar to how Dawn resembled Wolf's Gravestone. So that begs the question: who's fighting Jetsteam Sam, Quinton "Raiden" Flynn or Raiden Ei?
The weapon is infact Mistsplitter Reforged with a gray colour. It could hypothetically be a fight between realities, but who knows?
