Europa und ich

Heute fand an unserer Schule das Planspiel: "Europa und ich" statt. Einen ganzen Vormittag konnten die Schülerinnen und Schüler der Klassen ZM 10 und KFZ 10 anhand eines Simulationsspiels die Europäische Union "erleben". Die Teilnehmenden setzten sich intensiv mit der Thematik Institutionen und den demokratischen Entscheidungsprozessen auseinander und mussten hierfür aktiv an den Diskussionen im Plenum teilnehmen. Eine wichtige Eigenschaft, die im demokratischen Diskurs essenziell ist. Es war intensiv, aber sehr wertvoll für alle Beteiligten, da die Wichtigkeit von politischen Diskurs und Kompromissen als Kern unserer Demokratie durch diese Simulation in Erscheinung trat. Somit stand am Ende der Veranstaltung der Appell an die Erstwähler, ihr Wahlrecht auch zu nutzen, um ihre Zukunft zu gestalten!
Dieses Planspiel wird von der Regionalvertretung der European Commission in Bonn deutschlandweit durchgeführt und wir sind sehr dankbar, dass wir über das für unsere Region zuständige Europe-direct Büro in Freyung die Chance erhalten haben, diese Veranstaltung noch kurz vor den Hashtag#EUelections durchzuführen. Today, the simulation game "Europe and I" took place at our school. For a whole morning, the students in classes ZM 10 and KFZ 10 were able to "experience" the European Union using a simulation game. The participants dealt intensively with the topic of institutions and democratic decision-making processes and had to actively participate in the discussions in the plenary session. An important quality that is essential in democratic discourse. It was intense, but very valuable for everyone involved, as the importance of political discourse and compromise as the core of our democracy was revealed through this simulation. At the end of the event, there was an appeal to first-time voters to use their right to vote to shape their future!
This simulation game is being carried out across Germany by the regional representation of the European Commission in Bonn and we are very grateful that we were given the opportunity to hold this event shortly before the Hashtag#EUElections through the Europe-direct office in Freyung, which is responsible for our region.
