Welcome Silver Foxes! This is Mrs. Lennon with the virtual newsletter for this week. We had another exciting week here at TOMS. Football and Cheer
The Ten Oaks football team finished their season with a dominating 28-0 win over Blackwater Middle on Tuesday night. We also celebrated all our fall sport student-athletes, cheerleaders and marching band members this week with our first ever Pep Parade and Virtual Pep Rally. Thank you to all our student-athletes and to Coach Lowery, Coach Mortlock, Coach Ruska, Coach Ross, Coach Iagulli, Coach Britt, Coach McWhorter and Coach Hickey for working so hard to make sure that we had a great football season. We are proud of all of you.
Boys Basketball Try-outs
7th and 8th grade boys basketball tryouts are November 8th, 9th, and 10th. from 3:45-5:30 in the middle school gym. Players must have a pre-participation physical completed and on file through www.planetHS.com to be able to participate. Canned Food Drive
TOMS is hosting a Salvation Army Canned Good Food Drive from November 1- November 18, 2021. Please remember to bring good canned or non perishable food items to school to support our community. The advisory class and grade level with the most donations will receive a prize.
Angel Tree
We now have an Angel Tree up the front office. All donations will need to be collected by December 10th.
TOMS Tip of the Week: Set a Routine
It's now time for our TOMS Tip of the Week. This week's tip is Set a Routine. As a middle school student it is really important to get into a daily, weekly, monthly, and school year routine so that you can quickly accomplish day-to-day tasks.. Structure, organization, and self-discipline are key components in having a successful school year both academically and socially. We encourage parents to take time each week to talk to their children about their routine. When students have a routine it can help to relieve their anxiety and stress.
