Biofertilizer unit

1) Here the main focus is on azotobacter and rhizobium.
2) Coming to the process of production soil samples from different crops like papaya, rose, hibiscus, tomato are collected
3) Then serial dilution is done.
4) After serial dilution glassware is sterilized in hot air oven at 160°C for 45-60min.
5) After getting glassware sterilized the media is prepared i.e, Jensen’s media for azotobacter and yeast mannitol agar media for rhizobium by using digital weighing balance.
6) Then the media is sterilized in autoclave at 121°C 15lbs pressure for 15min.
7) After getting media solidified , it is inoculated under laminar air flow chamber.
8) Then the petri plates are transferred into incubator for 4-5 days by maintaining the temp. of 28-30°C for microbial growth.
9) After observing microbial growth, getting confirmed by confirmation tests then sub culturing is done for large scale production.
10) For large scale production broth media is prepared and after inoculation it is kept in incubation for 5 days.
11) Then pellicle growth is observed.
12) Next it is prepared charcoal as a carrier material and it is sterilized for 4 hours.
13) After getting charcoal sterilized, next is that mixing at 1:3 ratio of microbial culture and charcoal.
14) Then packing and weighing of 1kg biofertilizer is done.
15) This is the final product azotobacter.
