@@amineouerdani8692 that was the point though, even with this guy in his natural element and roided up, the Strawhats were still able to beat him. It was their first main battle after the time-skip, so it served to show how far they'd come and show off some cool new abilities.
It's not like the previous times where it enveloped a whole area. This time Luffy controlled it to only hit the enemies that were attacking him. Otherwise all the fishmen citizens, Nami,Robin and Chopper would have been knocked out too.
One thing I never thought of for some reason. Hody Jones would’ve been absolutely SMOKED before he could even raise a finger. Cause you know he ain’t smart enough to NOT go after the Celestial Dragons
Hell, he probably wouldn't have even gotten that far. The only reason Fishman Island hadn't been pillaged, colonized and become the name of an exhibit in a Museum in the Old World is because it was under the protection of Whitebeard and then Big Mom. I doubt any of Hody's crew would be foolish to try anything funny while the big man is still around, and I doubt even one of them would have resisted getting STAY OR LIFE'd. Luffy saved them all, big time.

I'd vote for the blood transfusion between Jinbei and Luffy. The depth and symbolism is just beyond words. Racism so brilliantly tackled and illustrated in an anime.
I mean let's face it the Fishman arc was a light warm up for the crew before the first real decent battle at Dressrosa and I still don't think we saw all of luffys power with conqueror haki in this scene lol
@@Rude_Boi if you mean Joy Boy I don't think he was holding back so much as the Devil Fruit was influencing his attitude because as what's his name the elephant said JoyBoy had a wild and unpredictable battle style which to some extent is probably why Luffy meshes so well with the fruit because when a battle isn't going his way he's known to suddenly change tactics or even invent new moves on the fly ....I can't remember if they've said this yet or not but I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed that it's the only devil fruit or one of few devil fruits that chooses it's wielder

Well to be fair during this arc, Luffy was merely toying around because he didn't even have to use gear 4 against Hody.
