It's a patter song, the whole point is that they need amazing breath control. Watch What Happens from Newsies or The Speed Test from Thoroughly Modern Millie are great examples as well! :D
Brandon would be perfect as Leo, and he's in the right age range. (Leo was 31 when he died, and I believe Brandon is 29-30). As far as his Lucille, I would love to see Betsy Wolfe tackle the role. I realize she would be playing another role originally played on Broadway by Carolee Carmello, but maybe it would finally get her a TONY nod.
So crazy that the show just did it’s revival with Ben Platt as the lead while simultaneously Brandon was in Leopostaldt and just won a Tony! He’d be a great replacement for Ben if Ben for any reason left!
