Well done review video !! I have owned Honda’s and Harleys and never had a perfect ride. I think it’s a great idea to wait for a year to judge your ride. When I look back at all the rides I have had, I have very fond memories of several of them, and what is common of those are - they made me smile a 100 times more than frown - and I always turn around to look at them every time I walk away from the bike. Cheers - new sub here. Ride safe and enjoy the ride !!!

I have a 2018 CB650F and there are definitely a few things about it that I'm not crazy about but at the same time I can't imagine getting rid of it anytime soon. I've got a few bikes on my "Wish List" and the CB 1000R is one of them. I really like the styling of the 2021 model.
Very interesting. I've got a 94 VFR and love it. Always wanted one ever since seeing it advertised in Piccadilly London back in the 80's. 14 years ago had a chance to get one and its now done over 200,000k with little more than consumables needed. Sometimes I wonder if I should get a more modern bike with all the new features these days, abs, traction fule injection etc, but those very features missing are what I enjoy about my VFR. Especially its gear driven cams, I just love the sound of those and knowing when I open the throttle it's actually opening the carb sliders. As yet I've never found a bike that can do what my VFR does and keep on doing it year after year.
Old school build quality is the VFR and after doing all the build work on my 1990 I realise they just don't make them like they used to. Glad to hear you've done that many miles.. I now have nothing to worry about. Thanks for watching buddy. 👍
Thanks for the insight, I totally get this. When I first passed my test I bought a Suzuki GSX600F, a sports tourer with the emphasis on sports. It had a full fairing and clip on type bars, I soon found the fairing acted like a sail in a crosswind and the bars were more tuned towards counter steering than lean, also the suspension was very stiff. I always preferred to lean a bike to its max with it following me, rather than me following counter steer drop in 😰. I took it back to the dealer to have the suspension adjusted ( why do they always pinch the toolkit?), he had a Triumph Thunderbird 900 Sports which he offered me a try of. I took it for a blast round some Twisties then out the dual carriageway, returning to the dealer much sooner than he expected. " You're back awful quick" he remarked " how did you find it?" " I'm leaving with it, what's the deal?" I replied. I honestly don't believe, that even today with all the mod cons, there's a bike which could rail round corners and behave exactly like you intended it too, as that bike. Even my mate who is a motorcycle instructor having tried it, came back with a huge grin from ear to ear, saying " that's the most fun I've ever had on any bike, the handling is just phenomenal, if you ever sell it, I want it!!" Most of the time it takes a gelling period and lots of tweeks but just occasionally within a very short time, man and machine just become one, and boy oh boy is that a barrell load of FUN!! 😍
I couldn't agree more and having had soo many bikes over the years I now come to realise how shit they handled but thinking it was me who just couldn't ride them or get on with them. With this in mind, I remember owning a Black and Yellow 929 fireblade. Just a beautiful looking thing that had been well taken care of. I never got on with that bike and always felt the front traction was weird. i would throw it in to corners thinking, this fronts gonna go and then would let off. I thought it was me and one time I ignored my senses and turned it in hard at a round about. Guess what, front slipped we both went down the road and my confidence was shattered. I'm now happy I have the looks, handling and more power i could ever want. Good story buddy and thanks for watching 👍🏍😎
@@Lochwood92 Thanks so much for your appreciation and a similar story in return, there's much to be said for instinct and the ending's never usually good when it's ignored.
