mr turner has brought the groove back to the band..he plays with great feel.. .this is what a band should sound like all on the one level every one is heard...❤ from ireland
Can bring out the best in a musician also? Sink or swim fly or fall soar or suck? All and every one is likely possible & doable! Far too much guitar is grossly insufficient woefully inadequate & nowhere near enough! Guitarcheologist since '79.
It's a masterclass. So you've got musicians who are learning and probably listening very closely to what their own instrument is playing as opposed to listening to the whole band as a thing of entertainment. Kind of like when you're in a regular classroom. There's not a lot of cheering and clapping then, is it? :) It's a different context. Though I get what you're saying, they could show a bit more appreciation for the musicians
Maria Brown Maria knows her Jamiroquai! As a big fan and funk bass player, I fell in love with the music once I heard the first tracks. Awesome stuff. Paul Turner was really lucky to take over the low end with the band.
Hurtin' is the best use of that chord scheme in my opinion, plus I like the chorus hook with the BV's. Can't say I'm crazy about the album as a whole though - it's possibly the least interesting and least hooky album from them in my opinion. White Knuckle Ride is a great song though.
Didn't like the album at first. But then after listening to it a million times, there is so much to love in it, IMHO. Also couldn't get behind Cloud 9 and Automation as singles at first, but oh man do I love Cloud 9 now and Automation isn't bad. I think that album is stronger over all the RDLS, though.
Love Jamiroquai. My son 8 yrs old loves to play Jamiroquai songs on drums. His hero is Derrick McKenzie! Thanks guys! You are incredible!
Great musicians!!!

These 3 guys....just wow! Amazing
Worst is having to play in front of a crowd of musicians. You just know they're analysing and scrutinising the hell out of your playing :)
It's ACM.... they all dum af
Just think you are standing in ya basement jamming
That's Steve Vai and Satch every gig and nailing it. Masters. =)

Hey Floyd is a superbly crafted song, i'm just glad RDLS exists just for that one song.

They sounded like the factory default songs you get with a Roland sampler.
