The launch control uses the traction control to have the best amount of slip. Also, you can try using 2nd gear to launch since 1st seems very short or roll out 1st.
Thanks for the tip, that would be cool to try out. The car should have no problem hooking once I throw on the new tires. The current ones are very old and hit tread bar. New tires are also gonna be bigger 👀
@@NanuGarage My brother in law has a 340i and can crush V8 muscle off the line because of how much 4wd helps launch the car. Also, the track focus of the GT350 prolly doesn't let it squat back as much as it could with a softer rear end. Lastly, the slow clutch let out isn't the way to go imho, lower rpm launch and part throttle it until you get into the powerband. Apply the throttle slower at start until you get going. It will feel slower but will give you better launches.
Shock settings are a little off on drag setting 😑 it's actually soft in the front sad stiff in the back allowing the front to come up more aggressively to plant the rear tires in drag mode. In drag mode launch control set at 6000rpm Dump not slip only let it slip when advanced track is off best so far best 11.2 using the LC AT 6000rpm " stock tuned "
Your absolutely correct about 2nd gear mine does the same thing. It’s embarrassing af when you have a passenger in the right 😅. I have a 2018 GT PP1 and quickest time I’ve gotten is 4.8 secs. The wheels just slip constantly through 4th gear. Btw I’m running new Pilot Sport 4 S’s.
You got locked out of 2nd gear because of your factory clutch - 100%. I had the same problem at the drag strip and the track. Upgraded my clutch and voila, problem solved.

Those tires are so dead. When my Pilot Super Sports were dying off they spun like this. New Pilot Sport 4S hook so much better.
